How important are players who are scheme fits and should you chose a playbook that fits the scheme?

Other than the obvious xp bonus in training and players motivations, what impact, if any does it have on performance if not a scheme fit?

I do pretty decent getting sacks when usering a defensive lineman. And that’s playing with Atlanta on All Madden. The key (for me anyway) is using turbo sparingly (that’s what forces those quick completions) and using mostly both your right and left sticks with the intention of attacking the blockers weakest side.

I don't think it makes a difference on the field.


An 82 OVR power blocking OG will be better than a 79 OVR agile blocking OG, even if you're clearly running a zone concept.


I use it it as a way to prevent me from overpowering other teams. I can only draft or sign guys that fit my player types, with one exception per year and then any XP they gain has to go into improving their scheme fit.

Can someone explain what "heavy" kickoff and kick return formations are? They don't look different on the screen to my eyes, so all I can guess is that the players put in are different.

Will the lastest Patches work in a already started Franchise like in other sports games or do I have to start a new one for it to be effective?

In superstar mode can you turn off instant starter??? I hate starting over a 89 overall player..

How do you go about watching games that aren’t your own? And do those games have highlights at the end? I’d like to kind of do a big thing for the whole season and not just my team. But idk how to go about it or what all it involves. Thanks for any help.

When I import my player from College RTG to Superstar mode can I pick what team I want to go to?

So I tested a few Sliders today. Because Pass Rush was pretty good and you had nearly no time and because someone mentioned that CPU Sliders count for every CPU Player also when the team is played by human. I tested it out against a friend in Franchise. 12min Quarter

First Game we had 60 User Pass Blocking and 0 CPU Pass Blocking. We had 6 Sacks in 2 Quarters and nearly no time to wait for a long route to throw.

In the second Game we changed the User Pass Blocking to 0 and CPU Pass Blocking to 60. In the 2 Quarters we had only 1 Sack and nearly 0 pressure.

Can this really be that all CPU Sliders counts for every player that isnt played by human and the User Sliders are just there for when you control the player. This would be mean that only QB Accuracy, Ball Security, Interception and Tackling and WR Catching if you click on him during the pass make an impact and the rest would be always the same like CPU.

Where can I see Momentum in M25? In 24, it was above the scoreboard at top of screen.

For anyone else who has a disc copy of M25 for Xbox Series X:

Whenever you put your copy of the disc in, does it "update" for a very brief period of time (like, less than 30 seconds) before actually booting up? This happens to me every time I put my disc in. I think it has something to do with Xbox's whole "Smart Delivery" system? Not to mention the fact that there's barely any install data on the disc itself.

This isn't an issue as long as my console's connected to the Internet, but when I'm offline this means I'm unable to boot the game up as it's unable to "update".

I downloaded the trial of M25 on my Xbox, which unfortunately I have to play on a crappy TV that has wicked overscan. This cuts off the entire score bug, including the clock. Is there a setting to move it into a "safe zone" the way you can in some FPS games? I coudnt find one.

Curious to know when player retirements are determined in Madden 25. I like doing 32 team control to update the rosters based on Free Agency, so if I start at the Super Bowl and change ages of players, am I good? Or will I have to start in Week 17 or Week 18, change the ages then simulate the playoffs again?

Also does Andy Reid still retire after one season or nah?
