Only thing SIM about sports games now, are the team name and players
CFB 25 The absolute GOAT!!!
MLB 23 FOREVER 20 is better, 23 just for Guardians
Madden get rid of the extras (SS/XF, HFA, media, scenarios, game plan) or turn them down considerably. -
Re: Ratings don't matter in Madden 25!!
I've spent hours in practice mode trying to figure out the QB accuracy issue. Here is what I have noticed contributes to it...
I don't think it's necessarily a "slider" issue. I think they've intentionally lowered the bad pass distance. Instead of missing by 5 yards for example it's by very little. NFL QBs miss by inches and not yards. I've tested with offense only, normal practice, 100 QB slider, 0 QB slider, punters and kickers at QB and perfect accuracy QBs.
Pass catchers are too good at reacting to passes and they can adjust to anything. You throw an out in the middle of their cut for example and where in past maddens they wouldn't react because there may be wasn't an animation or there was some logic that they wouldn't be able to realistically see the ball it would be an incompletion. Now any animation plays no matter where they are in their break that allows them to adjust and catch the ball. The only way to "force" an incompletion Is to turn pass lead up to max. Basically their catch radius is way too large and they can adjust to anything. Instead of robo QB we have robo receivers.
They added I think they said 500 different catch animations but there also should be some logic or awareness for the receiver to adjust to the ball and whether or not they should be looking for the ball at all at certain points in their routes. (This used to be a feature). They need to have either slower reactions or they need to increase the accuracy radius of a thrown ball where out of reach throws are possible. Every receiver is prime D-Hop. I have a feeling the lowered inaccurate pass radius was to remove warping instances by players. This along with the slow to react defense and really loose coverage leads to overpowered offenses.
TLDR: Passes are innacurate. Wrs are too good at adjusting and reacting leading to high completion percentages along with bad defense makes for an unbalanced offensive game.

Re: Ratings don't matter in Madden 25!!
It amazes me that this is not getting more attention.
I have edited a QB to 1 in all accuracy settings, put the accuracy slider to 0. And edited the pass coverage slider and coverage reaction to 100. I can put the ball right on the receiver and complete more or less the exact same volume of passes. I’ve tried hundreds of passes.
This is on All Madden, and I have tried Revamped, Placement and Classic passing.
I am not someone who complains about these games. In fact I’ve enjoyed them for what they are, over the years. But for a QB rated 20 to be basically the same as one rated 95 is just ridiculous. In a sport predominantly based around throwing the ball, there is no variation. It’s wild.Comment

Re: Ratings don't matter in Madden 25!!
When i had last years game I'd watch my son play with his friend and they would put the Fridge at QB. And he still could make all the throws. My guess is the ratings impact of the Accuracy Rating has been minimal for at least a couple years.Comment

Re: Ratings don't matter in Madden 25!!
My conclusion, since it is the same of CFB having tried it. Is that this is changed that existed in prior iterations of the game, and is a result of the change in passing mechanic - not “revamped” but the placement reticule, of which revamped is an evolution.
For greater context, I notice that when you reduce the accuracy slider to 0 and reduce the QB accuracy attributed to 1, with revamped, what you get is a total inability to have anything other than “red” timing throws. The issue is that for the majority of routes an inaccurate pass yields a pass the is catchable, but slightly behind the receiver.
Depending on the route, there is an animation for a total overthrow, but that is mostly on Out Routes. If it is a go, you can get one when the ball is short of the receiver. But anything like a hitch or curl, will be an accurate throw. I just do not think the game is designed to have passes that have a large variety of outcomes. I don’t know enough about game development to know how this works, but that is my interpretation.Comment
