I am going to start a CPU vs CPU franchise since Coach Mode doesn't seem to want to work. I'd like to know any advice for a good CPU vs. CPU franchise also. I see that there are several threads in the Slider forum for CPU vs. CPU. I'm just looking to see what would be the best one.

I recommend Playmakers PRO cpu vs cpu sliders. In cpu vs cpu, you want to play on Pro level. Many folks think All Pro or All Madden is the way to go, but in cpu vs cpu, Pro gives the most realistic results and animations.

Whatever you do, stay away from the "Cool" sliders. Trust me on this one...

Use the generic playbooks and you'll get a lot of running plays.

I know some people might frown upon it but with several teams going back to heavy run offenses in the NFL this past season those old school generic playbooks really gives the game fresh feel.

Run Balanced
West Coast
Run & Shoot

I think those playbooks were coded by EA for the older games and they maintained stability because EA didn't update them over the year. That's why the early versions of Madden games the CPU AI would focus on running because it was using those playbooks

Since they've started installing the team specific playbooks into the game they've never improved run logic with those playbooks and the AI focuses heavily on pass plays

I don't have a website

But I try to match the current teams with a generic play books that fit their personnel

For a example the 49ers, Packers & Cowboys are still using a modified version of the WC Offense today.

Heavy Run Playbooks works great for Baltimore, Pittsburgh and Philly playing style

Run & Shoot works well with McVay personnel for the Rams lots of single back formations that get Kyrene Williams touches. Miami is good for this PB also
