Have not had that problem. I make the changes in my team not in the player card view.

Re: DManChi Madden 17 Coach mode sliders

So what happens if you run these at all-pro rather than all madden?

To be honest, I haven't been able to get a good run game going. Have played 6 games in play the moments (normal speed) and mostly getting around 3 to 3.5 yards per carry (when I'd expect closer to 4 yards per carry on average). I also have yet to see a big run and haven't scored on a rushing TD at all yet. I get stuffed at the line in play the moments when I take control in the red zone regardless of the play call.

So any tips on how to improve the run?

Also, have you tested these with the custom playbook work around? I recently did the custom playbook work around and it was a brilliant game, but using your sliders I felt there were a little too many plays and passes and the run game was still weak.

Anyways, I also wanted to say that these sliders overall are awesome, and for coach mode guys who utilise the play the moments feature or just coach mode an entire game, this is brilliant work. So thanks.

I'm just now trying Sabo's playbook and the workaround. Honestly I've only done 1 half with those and it played pretty decent with these sliders. The cpu's playcalling is so much better. But I also found a way to give the cpu generic playbooks in an online franchise. It's very time consuming but you only have to plug it in 1 time for each team then you're done. You won't have to do it before every game or anything like that. I'll post a link below for the fix. As far as your running troubles first I play on slow speed so you'll notice a difference in gameplay believe it or not. But I have games where my running back goes off and I have games where he's at 2 ypc. It depends on who I'm playing. Also check your offensive line. Looking at their ratings do u think u should be running the ball better than you are or do u think u should struggle. This will make u go out and either sign those top offensive lineman or draft and develop better lineman. But if you want a better run game regardless I would move run blocking up for user 1 point at a time until u find a sweet spot for yourself. If you say you're averaging 3-3.5 then run block at 56 might be enough. How is the cpu run game against you?

Thanks for the reply. Using sabo playbooks really changes it up, I haven't used the online features because I mostly play offline CFM (by myself - have no other madden friends boo hoo).

These sliders feel really good but I want to test them a bit longer. The run game is still a bit lacking, but I play a mixture of true coach mode, play the moments in slow speed, and play the moments in normal speed. I switch during a game back and forth. So far I've played against the falcons where Ryan had a great day passing whilst on my side Carr was terrible. Next I played the titans where Mariota AND Carr were both TERRIBLE. 4 total interceptions between them include 2 pick-sixes from Mariota. It was a defensive battle and low scoring. Really pounding the ball on both sides with limited success, so I liked that.
I want to see how the slider set go with a pass heavy, high scoring game.
btw, i played both those coach mode games on all-pro NOT all-madden, so I wonder if that affected the overall QB play. What do you think? Does difficulty matter?
Also, do you get a mixture of great games and really tough defensive games?

To me yes difficulty matters. I see better awareness from qbs on all madden. And that's the reason the running game is different for you. These sliders are meant for all madden. The running game is completely different on all pro

Re: DManChi Madden 17 Coach mode sliders

I started my CFM with some sliders that shall remain nameless. Every game resulted in unrealistically high offensive numbers, not fun. I reset after the pre season and decided to try these sliders. I looked up the playbook change idea and decided against trying it because it looked like it was meant for online play. I may revisit this.

With the tiny sample size of one half of football i have paused to gush.

My 49ers are in Denver for week 2 of the preseason. Things are different. We came out and were done in three plays ending in a Von Miller sack, fair enough. C.J Anderson and Paxton Lynch systematically tore us apart over 8 minutes culminating with an 11 yard pass to Sanders to go up 7. Anderson had over 6 YPC and Lynch was 7-8. I liked the time the drive took but was worried again about offense. We ended the quarter on a SF punt. 7-0. There was only one penalty for a face mask in the quarter.

The second Q starts and the subs are in. The Broncos commit 2 false starts in a row. We sack Siemian on the 1 and things are looking bright. On third and Texas we over commit to a blitz and Juwan Thompson burns us for 60 on a draw, beautiful. From there Denver miss a 64 yard FG. The offenses sputter a little and we trade missed FG's. They miss from 58 and we miss from 46. Just as we get some momentum a rookie WR fumbles after a beautiful 30 yard catch and run, turnover. Denver use it to convert a 52 yard FG. With 4:31 left in the half we take the ball. Early in the drive we commit 2 false start penalties. Immediately ater the second the Broncos commit back to back PI infractions to take us inside the 10. One more false start and we settle for 3. Could all of these late in the half penalties be due to fatigue?? I friggin hope so! After a 3 and out we get the ball with almost no time left and Kaep throws a pick and puts Denver in business inside our 30. They quickly get inside our 10. On a roll out Siemian is strip sacked and we return it to mid field. A hail Mary goes for an INT, Halftime.

This is obviously a lot of big things happening. Overall the game flow is sensible. The champs march down and score with ease and then the starters go out. When this happens the misplays and penalties go up. Another interesting in game fact is that Siemian seemed to build confidence as the quarter went on. He started with some erratic throws but ended up zipping it in with confidence as the game moved on. I have not experienced this previously, maybe it's all in my head lol.

I have noticed that penalties seem to duplicate. I hope this type of game flow continues. Thanks for the work!

                Off to the second half...

Glad u like em bro. I'm gonna make some slight edits on the original post. Pass blocking for both and cpu run blocking. I'm getting great games. Honestly the method I mentioned for changing the cpu playbooks is a lil time consuming but honestly you could knock it out in an hour. Change their offensive and defensive playbooks I'll post a link to suggestions for each team offensively and defense. But it's definitely worth it

dman, these sliders look interesting and I'm looking forward to trying them out. I'm new to Madden 17 and haven't owned or played any other copy since Madden 12, so most of these features and options are new to me.

The way I use the game is a bit unusual. It's an offline franchise and I have the CPU controlling all 32 teams and every aspect of the game on the field (play calling, substitutions, etc) as well as off the field (signing free agents, releasing and signing players, setting depth charts, etc). I just watch the games on the screen with no influence from me.

I'm interested in the playbooks you're talking about, but I don't have it set to online like you do. Would you or someone else care to tell me how to set up the playbooks on offense and defense on one team the way I use the game and I'll duplicate the process for the other 31 teams? Right now, I haven't watched any games and I have 32 separate head coach profiles set up. Where do I go from here? LOL.

If you click on that first link dskins81 breaks it down verbatim for an offline 32 team franchise. It's a nice little read but definitely worth it

You mentioned early on in the thread your QB wasn't scrambling/rushing for a mobile QB. The same thing happened in M16 and the work around was to select another offensive player before you hike it. You still don't control whichever player you switched to, but it allows the QB (especially mobile traited ones) to act as they should.

Sounds like the same is necessary in M17 per your early post.

It might be worth a shot but my qb doesn't scramble and I'm not really playing coach mode anymore. I'm doing cpu vs cpu so I don't control anything. He just won't take off. Every once in awhile he'll move around in the pocket to avoid pressure but he just won't scramble when it's appropriate
