Armor I know this is a little off topic but will you be doing a slider set for NBA 2K23? The AI Qb interceptions is making Madden unplayable for me and I need a sports game.

I've always used your sliders year in year out because they always work so well for me so much thanks but I have to say '16 is still giving me the most enjoyment and as much as I want to play a more robust franchise mode I can't get past some glaring issues that continue to plague this series.

Yeah….right there with you. I am playing Madden 16 and I just love that game so much.

I wish we had this franchise mode with that game…..man that would be so good.

But Madden 16’s franchise mode does work and I am in year 6 with the Dolphins and yes it’s 32 team control (gotta have that to manage depth charts and the far more robust injuries on 16) but we have gone deep with the draft storylines etc. It has been a blast. And of course 1986/1990/1999 are there for me among other rosters.

Yes I use 32 team control and play with both classic rosters and a franchise I started from '16 rosters and in year 5 and can enjoy because of the great gameplay.Im 53 so between this and The Show can satisfy me enough fior my sports gaming needs.

Patiently awaiting this next update that hopefully addresses the excessive CPU thrown interceptions. As well as super LB’s and CB’s rarely dropping anything.

It’s just so overdone. Big time band aid to 22’s non existent pass coverage.

If we are being real.

Also there is an Xfactor ability for diving interceptions…..I will make sure to turn all those off as they are outrageous and ridiculous.

Ok we are streaming the AFC championship again….but this time I did some serious editing on ratings and tendencies to all CB/FS/SS/LB as well as as making sure QB’s are not paranoid sensing pressure (elite and very good QB’s are ideal or Average depending on real life ability).

For example Tannehill is oblivious in the pocket. But Josh Allen is great at sensing pressure and either taking off or throwing it away. Yes every now and then QB’s like him and Mahomes take chances….we don’t want to neuter that.

So let’s see what happens.

VOD of the AFC championship and offseason and draft are up.

We had a wild off-season.

We lost to the eventual Super Bowl
Champion Buffalo Bills as Josh Allen went off on me with a brilliant game.

Skylar Thompson’s brief era came to an end as he left via free agency and became the starting QB for the Carolina Panthers signing a rich 4 year deal worth over 46MM.

Simply too rich for my blood. The WB of the Future tag is very powerful.

We had a great draft!!! I will give EA credit on the entire mock draft build up to the draft. It was a lot of fun watching my targets move up and down. It also makes you use caution for your private workouts! You don’t want to tip your hand too much!!

Needless to say the Adam Butler era has begun for the Dolphins. We also drafted some other future studs at MLB, SS and WR. Just a great draft!!

Butler might be a generational talent at QB and we were able to grab him at the 18th pick in round one we also grabbed his backup in the 5th round who is not bad in his own right.

I won’t ruin it. Check out the VOD to get caught up.

Also I took care of many 5th year option scenarios for every team. Obvious ones were Burrow, Herbert, Jefferson etc.

What I do is to keep it real. Obvious franchise guys lime those three are automatic. The other I see what the GM says….then dice roll them. Do whatever you want is my motto. Your universe, your stories.

Baker Mayfield became the new trigger man for the Commanders. Derwin James left LA for Texas!

The Giants drafted a stud at QB and his last name is Simms!!! The irony! Sam Darnold is his back up. They moved on from Daniel Jones.

The Steelers signed Tom Brady!!! 46MM for one season! Incredible!

Pickett will be learning from the best.

The Bucs meanwhile are in a load of cap hell and will be terrible in 2023.

Anyway we are excited as Year 2 begins later today at New England!!

So what have we done in terms of calming down the CPU picks and also seeing more int drops by the CPU?

The catch ratings for LB’s DB’s and S’s are ridiculous. The issue is the improved “Field Sense” defense and secondary play does not match up with these high catch ratings….it’s not calibrated properly. There was a thread in the main forum where someone suggested dialing down all three catch ratings by 15. I went farther.

Here is what were are doing before we play each opponent. It takes about 15 mins. But after that your done. And moving forward you just need to edit the rookies after the draft (you can do it in the draft recap screen) or simply do it each week when you play a team.

Edit the following:

CTH
CIT
SPC

By 20.

If they are a true star/superstar ballhawk (Xavien Howard for example) reduce by only 10.

Also any DB with superstar abilities:

Pick Artist
Acrobat

Change them to whatever you want. Do not use those two. They are vastly OP.

Also trait edits:

Penalty- Undisciplined
Play ball in air - conservative

My games have been so much better.

Also full disclosure and we will update the OP soon after a few more games my coverage sliders for the human side are all zeroed out.

Game feels great so far using this method.

Do I think an update is forth coming to address this? I have no idea. But regardless if there is the catch ratings for defense are not jiving with whatever code they are using for pass defense this cycle.

Gonna answer for him and keep it simple.
The gameplay. The hitting on 20 is miles better than 22. 22 bored me to death this year. Every game felt the same with pitcher duel after pitcher duel.

Went back and played 20 and felt like I was actually playing a baseball game again.

What he said. Just the best of the best all around also the classic roster community on 20 is second to none. And there is a post deadline 22 roster available if you want to start a brand new modern day franchise on 20.

And it plays amazing on the PS5. 60 FPS and Sounds of the Show.

22 is a beautiful game….but like Topside said a very sterile and stiff hitting engine. Ever since 21 the direction of the game has gone to a place I am not on board with.
