Ian is off on vacation .. i hope his backup Ryanaza steps up to the plate. so send any save file to them ASAP.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I'll be out of town for the next week and won't be on the forums at all.

I've already let Ryanaza and Fillycheze know to try and keep the communication going, but I'm sure you all can survive a week without me. Things were just fine before right?

- Did you import any draft classes? If so, did you use the named NCAA file that was known to be corrupt?

I didn't import any NCAA draft classes (I can't even play NCAA because of region lock)

- Are you using updated rosters?

Yes, the official roster update that came out

- Did you do a fantasy draft?

Nope

- What team(s) are you using?

In the whole Franchise thing. I'm in the first week of Season 3. I can play and supersim games, but I can't save afterwards or sim through the week or to the next game. Doesn't matter if I try to quicksave, regular save or create a new profile. It always freezes. When I start up the save file I can copy it as many times as I want to, but as soon as I supersim or play any game of this week, I'm not able to save afterwards.

- Do you have a save file where you can load it up and get the game to freeze every time?
- Can the freeze be avoided, or is your Franchise stuck? I.e. can you advance?

I can answer these together: Yes, the Franchise is completely stuck in season 3 since I can't save any more progress.

- Etc. etc.

Some additions: When this issue first came up I hadn't trained the players. So then I was stuck and played the week 1 game twice with the game crashing afterwards. Then I tried to sim the week - freeze. Then I supersimmed one game and tried to save afterwards - freeze.

Then I reloaded the save again and trained my players for week 1. I was able to save afterwards but then again I couldn't save any progress from week 1 games.

I have already tried to supersim thru week 1, that worked out perfectly but again, I wasn't able to save. The popup comes and then it's frozen.

Unfortunately I don't know of any possibility to copy a xbox360 save to another console, so I can't send it. I'd like to know if you guys are experiencing the same problem.

One final thing: I don't know if the developers have any influence on the region lock decision, but please try to tell EA to make games region free that are only hitting the US market, so people like me could import the games from the US. I don't get to play Head coach 09, the classic Madden or NCAA for example, and I'm a huge fan of the madden series here in good old Europe. Please provide me with the games

I imported classes from NCAA. Weren't corrupt to my knowledge.

During load for advance to training mode in year 3.

Yes.

Yes, I can play the games, just can't train my players.

Are you using updated rosters? Yes, from EA update on release day or the 13th

Where in the mode is it freezing - i.e. what screen exactly? Freezes when trying to simulate preseason games. Then I super simmeed the Browns first preseason game of season 3 and after one more freeze the next time I loaded it up I was able to simulate through the preseason. Starting season 3 tonight, if it doesn't freeze up again.

Do you have a save file where you can load it up and get the game to freeze every time? Nothing consistent, just happened as I started season 3 last night.

Etc. etc. - Playing on 360. I play every game with my teamm, simulate all others. Simulate preseaon games. I don't train players. I haven't edited any players.

No draft class has been imported.

I am using the latest EA update. Takeo Spikes has been added to the 49ers, I just can't remember if I did this or if this move was included in the update. All ratings/equipment has remained unedited.

Yes.

Buffalo Bills. My brother and I play the games together on one single team.

5. Where in the mode is it freezing - i.e. what screen exactly?

When the freeze takes effect it was during the first two or three minutes of the first quarter. The freeze takes effect in the playcall screen. The game froze only once after the first quarter and that was at the end of the Bills vs Dolphins game in Toronto, in which the game froze while the players were leaving the field. Every other time the game froze it was always early in the first quarter (first one or two minutes).

6. Do you have a save file where you can load it up and get the game to freeze every time?

I have a save file, but the freeze is not consistent. For example, I will train three players and save the game. I will then continue and play a game. If the game is completed without a freeze I will save the game and advance to the next week to train players and repeat. Whenever the game freezes, I just reload the save and complete the game. I have not had the game freeze more than once per game week, and it usually happens every few games, and if I play three games per session it will sometimes happen once during the three game plays.

7. Can the freeze be avoided, or is your Franchise stuck? I.e. can you advance?

I can advance and the Franchise does not appear to be stuck. I have noticed that the stats do not match all the time. I have had LT rush for 125 yards and be credited with 85 at the end of the game, but I would assume that to be an unrelated issue.

Only post here if your franchise is freezing in the menus or when trying to save. Not in game or when attempting to train. The only reason I say this is because this is the only thread dedicated to my freezing problem, and I'd really like the problem to get the attention it needs instead of the thread being flooded with the same things that everyone is already aware of.

- What team(s) are you using? A custom created team replacing the Kansas City Chiefs

- Where in the mode is it freezing - i.e. what screen exactly? When I go to "Train active team for this week - Advance to training"; when simulating for the week or longer, and since today even when quick saving

- Do you have a save file where you can load it up and get the game to freeze every time? Yes (simulating week, Advane to training, quicksaving)

- Can the freeze be avoided, or is your Franchise stuck? I.e. can you advance? I can advance but will never again be able to train my players, quick save the game or simulate for more than one game

In season two every time I play a game, when I finish the game and I press quit, the game loads and goes back to the franchise menus and it freezes right away before I get a chance to do anything including saving

I can simulate weeks but in order to play games it cannot be avoided

- Where in the mode is it freezing - i.e. what screen exactly? franchise year 2 preseason week one (won't let me sim anything or save)

- Can the freeze be avoided, or is your Franchise stuck? I.e. can you advance? Not by simming each individual game...it still freezes...i am trying now to supersim every game past week one of the preseason to see if that works...still can't save though

I actually have discovered some interesting things in regard to this issue. when I have trouble is when i use the QUICK SAVE most of the time. I have found that even if you go into the QUICK SAVE and not save anything lockup will occur soon after. the is NOT FOR IN GAME FREEZING!

I also discovered the out of game freezing occurs when:

1. you do the training (either manual or simulate) varies as to when it occurs, not at the same time all the time

2. using sim season. had it locked up on the final game wk 16. rebooted, it didnt occur at all.

I have gotten several games in when i save the normal way, and i just save the franchise file and profile files separate.

just workarounds, it wont stop the freezing for ever, but it will allow you to use your current franchise file.

save often, and make 2 copies in case it freezes on 1 and corrupts it.

He isn't editing the draft class. He is editing the roster before he starts his franchise I think.

- Where in the mode is it freezing - i.e. what screen exactly? Pre-Season of my 2nd season. I can't sim or save without it locking up. I can only Supersim the games but can not save a game no matter what I try. I've tried a new game & 360.

IS THERE ANY TEMP FIX AROUND THIS? I SPEND HOURS APON HOURS DOING RESEARCH OF MY DRAFT AND GETTING UNDER THE CAP. THIS IS A DISGRACE TO MADDEN. GOOGLE "09 MADDEN FRANCHISE LOCKUP" THE RESULTS ARE JUST UTTERLY STUPID. WHERE'S THE FIX?

after the draft my madden freezes also. it seem to freeze once i go to sign my players. dont know why but also why when using the draft classes from they draft all the qb then the game freeze on you?
