I did re-read it, not sure what your saying because they have patched console versions and have had to patch game-balancing and realism changes on console versions. Example last year they patched fumbles and db reactions.

People have every right to hold EA to a higher standard due to this, and the dog sludge that they put out this year wouldn't have been acceptable with even 2 other competitors. They wanted it all, and now people are going to expect a ton from them...especially me. I always played both games when there wasn't a choice, but now that there isn't I'm always going to want what was in the other game also.

The one year 2k get their football game on track, and had a great platform to build on for years to come, and it was squashed, so yeah people have every right to go off on it. You have no other option thanks to this mess, so of course people are going to want to buy it and hope for the best. When it doesn't live up to the hype they have every right to get mad.

On top of all that, since when has it been "ok" to release games that freeze? Never, but now that's becoming the standard, and they will just patch it later. This is exactly what people didn't want with the ability to patch game, and unfortunately EA is doing exactly what people feared patching ability in games on consoles would do. Freezes hardly ever happened before the patchable systems, but now it's starting to be common place.

So yeah....I was kinda forced into purchasing/renting the game if I wanted any new NFL experience this year, so I'm going to vent as much as I see fit due to EA wanting to be the head NFL @##%# and them not coming even close to living up to what they should be.
Lol...all I got out of this post is you're just another bitter 2k fan that is still pissed about the exclusive rights deal. Again, no onw is forcing you to make a launch day purchase. They are fixing the game which normally doesn't happen. 2k sports has to patch every game they release yet they aren't held to the same standard. Rant, vent, write a letter, but the fact remains is they are making an attempt to fix the problem.

But we say that every year. That's why so many are frustrated.

I completely agree with you. These forums have become a place for nonstop bitching. The notion of blaming EA for buying the rights to the NFL is stupid. North America is a FREE MARKET society. Get a clue. Between the mods shutting down almost every thread to the "I've got my panties in a bunch" complainers, I've definitely started to see a slide in this community.

Just be happy that madden is being patched a quickly as it is.

I never understood why people blame EA for the "monopoly". The NFL did it. The NFL is the one making all of the stupid deals.

The NFL also f'd me in the a with DirecTV. I just moved to an apartment that doesn't allow satellite dishes. Are there any other ways of getting NFL Sunday Ticket? Hell no.

The NFL and it's stupid exclusive contracts are hurting the fans.

Sounds like he was working on it to me. It really doens't matter though. Like I said I think Ian did a great job. I do not believe he is a tester and I feel they are the ones that missed the freezing/crashing issues that I was concerned with.

Not trying to cause a stir, but I just threw Madden in for the first time since Twoods 09 came out, and I got discoe'd and it was an update. I already have the first update since I have had the game like 5 days before it came out.

                  Did anyone else get this??

Re: Two Weeks of Madden 09, and Official Patch News!

                    I agree with Driftwood,

Does anyone know the release date for this patch and the next roster update?

We will all have a lot of questions answered after it is release. And if we are still have problems with freezing we can start another discussion about it but until then it is a useless conversation if the patch fixes the problems.

Yeah we can all be and have the right to be pisses that it (freezing issues) was one the disk. But if the patch fixes that problem and makes the game better I for one will be happy.

Hopefully, next year will be the complete package with no crashing out of the box. Go the year of the franchise!

Well, maybe it's not possessed then. Hopefully someone can confirm they got it also with the 360, or not.

Anyways Brother, I appreciate you taking the time to check at least.
