Although this is not fixable in this years game, but throws like this happen too often with accuracy. Something to look for in 2010....stolen from the Video thread

that video is pushing that fine line as being an obvious bug finding hunt and being a valid argument. With that said, i highly doubt passes would be thrown like that if the gamer is playing correctly and by how nfl football is "really" played...my point is, no real need to fix something like that unless the CPU was running around tossing passes like that at willl..thats a user passing the rock.. i can go into any videogame and record something stupid looking just because im trying to make the game look dumb by purposly doing certain things to make it look like it has weak AI Logic.

Re: Two weeks of Madden 09, and OFFICIAL patch news!

I think I'm looking more forward to the second patch than the release of the game itself! Excellent news!!! Maybe Brett Favre can get into the Madden HOF instead of Brad Johnson now...

          2 quick questions

Will the Draft, How Acquired, and Pro Bowl info remain intact for an edited player?

If a roster is edited before the 2nd patch, but not used as the base of a Franchise file until after the 2nd patch is downloaded, will the effects of the 2nd patch still take place?

*Not of major importance at all, but a suggestion to the stat engine guy...OLB's in 3-4 Defenses don't generate sacks at a realistic rate (barely at all considering their purpose of rushing the passer).

Thanks again for the great news!

I wonder if the progression being tweaked also means that regression will be present in the game. I don't think it's in there now. And players seem to have a pre-determined age at which they retire based on their position.

Wow, I have to say I'm impressed.

If all of that stuff comes to fruition, AND that DLC is released, we could potentially be looking at one of the best Madden's ever.

I don't know what kind of strings you have to pull to get that released, but I think you can figure out what that kind of stuff does for long term customer loyalty. Find a way to get it out now, and you will definitely be rewarded in the future.

Thanks for the update and glad most of the issues are being fixed. Hopefully we see this come out around the start of the season

I doubt it. He only mentioned that the progression code was amped up.

                            [Rhetorical Question]

Isn't it supposed to be a penalty when you throw a forward pass after you have crossed the line of scrimmage?

A couple days ago online the opposing player's QB was about 3-4 yards past the line of scrimmage and was still able to throw the ball. Oh Well.

                            Anyways,

Thanks for all you do for us Madden-heads Ian!

Thank god for 5 and 6. I really enjoy the game, but the lack of progression made franchise almost unplayable.
