I get no inside information. All of the info I post in here comes after it's been officially released to the community. I'm not a representative of EA sports and my efforts are not endorsed by EA Sports and do not represent the opinions of EA Sports, their employees or their brother's dog's roommate's wives' cousin... blahblahblabblabfineprintblahblahblah..Comment

Re: MADDEN 10 Updated Info Thread
The screenshot in Peter's blog is an amazing improvement from last year. It looks very realistic other than the sideline and the two lineman on the right ( they aren't realistically touching each other, no biggy though since it is the first screen). Refs and chaingang aren't a surprise, but the towel caught me by surprise. Glad to see these things finally back in. And when you think about it, even when the sideline players look like trash, the other things like the refs and chaingang and gatorade and other people standing around and the camera crew make the sideline look better than it actually is. And when you compare this screen to all of NCAA's new screens, it blows NCAA out of the water. This is going to be a great Madden...FINALLY!Comment

Re: MADDEN 10 Updated Info Thread
When you compare the games first screen shots...there really isn't much of a comparison in my opinion.
Myself, I don't play NCAA. But I am hoping EA didn't leave out Refs and chain gang for NCAA '10'. Maybe I'm looking at it wrong...but I think that it would be kind of a slap across the face.1969 NFL ChampionsComment

Re: MADDEN 10 Updated Info Thread
My interpretation of this is that they can do this, not us. What this means is there will be plays within the 3-4 formation in which an outside linebacker gets down in a 3-point stance to rush the passer, rather than the previous "hybrid" formation which just brought the backer to the line of scrimmage, so it looked like a 4-3 in the playbook, but your "end" was in a 2-point stance.
My hope (against all hope) is that we'll have a play editor that allows us to set the player's stance. I played a lot of stand-up defensive end in High School and I'd love to see what I can do with my old 5-3 defenseOriginally posted by WatsonTigerOne out of 7 billion, and we still tagged your ***.Comment

If your in the pocket and, your receiver is in the corners of the screen get ready to more than likely throw an interception especially if your throwing to a receiver thats not inside your field of veiw.Originally posted by WatsonTigerOne out of 7 billion, and we still tagged your ***.Comment

3-24 The first Madden 10 screenshot was released via
Peter Moore's blog, revealing hand towels (Ian confirmed fully articulated and animated), Superbowl patches, Superbowl team sideline art, Second team color gloves, and referees and chain gangs on the field. There are two types of people on OS: Those who disagree with me, and those who agree.

Re: MADDEN 10 Updated Info Thread
Has there been any info on authentic QB throwing animations?
RB running styles/animations?
Variances in throws? such as being able to realistically make different types of throws (lob over a defenders head for example).
Larger players? I know the players are different heights, but they all seem small on screen.
When attempting to throw a long ball, will this be fixed: The defender knowing where the pass is going, jogging to the point where the ball will hit, while the WR is sprinting to get there.
Over the shoulder/lead passes? The CB are monsters in this game and there really is no such thing as a long ball. Allpro/2K5 passing game is very very realistic (as an example)
Just wanting the know if the above has been addressed.Comment

Re: MADDEN 10 Updated Info Thread
Don't getcha hopes up, but yes telling from the screen its looking very promising. I hope we will actually be able to see the corners of the field, meaning the whole field from the snap of the ball to staying in the pocket. I shouldn't have to drop back 15 to 20 yards to see my outside recievers or wait in the pocket for my recievers to get up field and make a cut to the inside until i see them open i should already be able to see them.

I try not to get my hopes up actually. I have done that for the past two Maddens and I'm glad I did. But every week I stay calm and expect the worst but Ian and everyone keep me believing that this is the best Madden to ever come out. Although I don't want to expect the best, it is hard when you look at all of the gameplay improvements, and then now look at that pretty amazing picture for a Madden game and not get excited. I know that they are serious this year and I am not afraid to say that it will be the best Madden to date.Comment

Re: MADDEN 10 Updated Info Thread
This OnLive is going to be exciting for many reasons and I encourage everyone to read the article from Gamespot.
Here are a few of the publishers on board with OnLive Atari, Take Two, Epic, Eidos, Codemasters, and so on. The big one that concerns this post is EA. If they make Madden 10 for the PC then this will be golden for the Madden community. Imagine what the underlined would mean for the community.
OnLive's streaming technologies allow it to do some crazy stuff. Aside from being able to watch clips of games to see what they're like, you'll be able to spectate any game being played on the system. OnLive also lets you show off your coolest moments via the Brag Clip system. The service automatically records your gameplay at all times, and anytime you do something that looks cool, you can press a few buttons and save the last 15 seconds of footage. At that point you can share your saved clip with other friends who are part of the OnLive service.

Wait, I thought this has already been in te game; or have I just been dreaming? No, i'm pretty sure that I have been lobbing the ball, throwing bullet passes, low passes, high passes, throwing in front and behind the receiver via precision passing...Comment
