I'd like practice mode to actually feel like practice. It isn't like you gotta put them in shorts and pads, but i'd like some downs to work with instead of restarting in the same spot thats just stupid. Situations are good for getting prepared. Like time, down, quarter, etc.

Just wish they could Make practice feel like practice instaed of a re-do of the same play in the same spot.

Maybe we're the only two players that feel that way because that's what I'm hoping for also.

I made a thread about it in the wishlist forum if you got any good ideas for practice mode. It really needs alot more depth.

Practice mode is feels so lifeless!!!

In previous years you could set the cpu on defense to call only zone, man, blitzing plays. This was extremely helpful when trying to see what certain plays do against certain coverages. I would call a passing play and run that play 20+ times getting all kinds of different zone coverages. There were nights I would play only practice mode for hours. Last year I really missed that and got alot less out of practicing.

What I'm looking forward to most is online franchise, and I'm hoping it will be as high quality as online dynasty in NCAA, and not just thrown in there so they can say they have online franchise, but no one will be playing it if it's not been developed enough

yea i said something about this another thread, i had a suggestion about players wearing practice jerseys in practice instead of game jerseys. i think it would feel more like practice mode if teams wore like, plain practice jerseys and plain white pants. it's unrealistic seeing them in their game jerseys. this feature should be added in madden 10. it wouldn't seem that difficult to do.

I thought I heard at some point that players' contract would be editable as well? Is this not the case?

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but is the kicking going to be changed to make it more realistic?

You shouldn't be able to just get a guy with 90+ kicking power and be guaranteed to make 50 yarders.

I propose an MLB The Show-like kicking meter, which works like the pitching meter on the Show. This would be an advancement of the old Madden kicking meter. It would be a 3-button system, with a 'sweet-spot' in the middle. You would set your power in the traditional way, by stopping the meter on the way up, and stop it in the 'sweet-spot' for a perfect kick.

Depending on your kicker's accuracy, the sweet spot would be bigger, or the game would allow you more room for error to make the kick. However, kicks could still be missed depending on a kicker (or punter)'s accuracy.

I wish I could say I can't wait, but given recent efforts I can wait until September if thats what it means to release the 'quality' we've all been expecting for years.

The one thing that does not sound good from the original post is the news that interactive sidelines will not make it into Madden 10. The game would be much more entertaining with it.

Yeah, I would love for them to do this. It added so much, presentation wise, to APF2k8.

It sounds like they would have to compromise in the graphics department for that to happen. I think there was a poll around here somewhere, it would be interesting to see what the majority at OS think.

hmm that i can wait but for now its the core that im looking for...how everything animates ingame and how smoothly and realistically they move...ie blocking, qb movements, running and player interaction...

reading the blog gives me high hopes for this game

all the other presentation stuff can wait till madden 11...
