Compared with some of the ideas for ads in games that I've heard, this is tame. You'd be shocked what kind of ads publishers are suggesting to put in their games. It's ridiculous. Luckily they've not put them in yet.

I don't really have a problem with having a snickers logo there, not sure what the big to-do is since that's pretty similar to commonplace ads in an NFL broadcast. What I do mind is Hammonds horrible reading of "BE A CHOMPION".

There's usually an image of an ad during a coin toss? I know they usually show a sponsor before the game starts, and during half time shows, but I don't recall there being an image during the actual coin toss. And Hammond, is just horrible all around. I don't understand either, I thought the commentary was going to be fixed this year.

That's blatant advertising, not representing a NFL game. As a consumer you should not have to be exposed to blatant advertising on a product for which you paid.

I agree. It's about the right balance. I was fine with the way Madden 09 handled advertising, but the game in the IGN video was a step away from being the Snickers Bowl.

Not going to say too much, it might just be the plays called on D, but I'm not happy with the pocket by any means.

nor am i...just seems slow to develop...looks kinda off

the pile on for the fumble was nice..for a cut scene..i just didnt like that after the pile on they just wen on their merry way...if anything they should be high fiving all the way to the side line...

edit: ofc things can change or ian probably responded already...i just didnt feel like reading through 40 + pages

Dude that ain't even touching the real presention that you will see at E3. That video of the Eagles and Cowboys game was chopped up badly. So this is not a good presention by far. The true presention will come next week.

a your mom joke? You should try out for that Wilmer Valderrama show. Like i said in my last post, if the ad bothers you that much, press X and skip over it straight to the coin toss.

And puhlease, blatant advertisement and not representing a NFL game. Do you watch the NFL on tv? How many ads do they do after commercial breaks or tv show ads that pop up in between plays that commentators have to promote? The NFL and pro sports in general try to squeeze in ads anywhere they can.

Yeah, I'm not much of a comedian by any measure.

The difference between the TV and the game is I didn't pay $60 to watch the game. In fact, I don't pay anything to watch the game. The advertisement pays for me to watch the game for free. If they want to start giving Madden away for free, then fill it full of advertisements, but as long as people are paying for them, they should be used in context and that snickers ad does seem like it's in context to me.

You must be immune to some of the ads on TV by now. On an NFL broadcast are sponsors after almost every return from commercial break, regular plugs for the latest TV show from ___ (insert CBS, FOX, ESPN) scattered throughout the commentary, highlights/replays and broadcast features "brought to you by" sponsor X, "visits" to the booth by people peddling their products, and countless others. Video games have been safe from this invasion but it's inevitable, and in a game simulating the NFL it's not unrealistic.

I also think during the coin toss is a LOT less unobtrusive than having it pop up during gameplay or replays, which it doesn't seem to do (which does happen in real NFL broadcasts). Can't complain about that.

wow then i can only imagine what the presentation looks like now omg im so excited for e3 only because of madden thats all i care about i loved the presentation i saw but if thats a bad version i cannot wait to see the real one
