I have raised this question/statement before....
You could ONLY really get a highlight if the game actually played.... visually. So unless you all want all simmed games to be played out on your box.... "live", you would just get something made up. Which is not really what I would like....I'm happy with what they got in there !

And btw, if I'm not mistake...thats a live person vid in the Extra Point show !! Thats not some digital recreation ! Thats awesome (and more than some people were even asking for)

Besides, it is kind of fake because in real life you have to wait 5 years. In Madden, they get in (if worthy) as soon as the player decides to retire.

This pretty much is why I had no doubt I was buying this game the day it came out.
Every game is going to have its bugs and glitches, I can live through those.

Franchise for Madden 10 looks absolutely amazing, I can't wait.

I think he's a community manager, which means he might not be up to speed on every small detail about the game. I know russell_SCEA was similarly very careful about not wanting to say anything he wasn't absolutely sure about.

The Interface is really nice. i'm just saying that I don't see why people are excited about the Extra Point.

Why do people say that? If people get excited let em be excited. IMO it looks awesome.

lol...take out the T.O. drama and you can likely pick several from any week in the game.

Injuries are a BIG news item in football...more than any other sport. As long as that's not ALL that's in it, I'm personally fine with it. Plus it was one week...maybe it was slow for news. Better real stories than MLB 2K7 where EVERY player was feuding with management...lol.

BTW, if you look at the headlines after Josh sims the week, the main headlines are game scores. So it may very well be more contextual than you're thinking.

First of all it was 3. While I tend to agree that David Diehl getting hurt is not a top story, and maybe not Shaun Phillips either... it's hardly enough to say Franchise looks pretty bad. Like, not even close to enough. In fact, I think the facelift looks great. I share some concerns that it may be mostly a facelift, but in isolation I really don't care about the top stories having 3 injuries and one game recap.

Another thing, once he simulated through a few games, the top stories changed to the scores of the games. Maybe you should have looked into that

The "top stories" are "this team beats this team" or injuries.

THOSE AREN'T STORIES. STORIES ARE "T.O. MAD OVER THE MINUTES HE RECEIVED IN THE 4TH."

Not every single injury is a "top story". Not every score is a "top story".

Ummm yea. What the heck do you think an interview is. 2K5 did it, albeit pretty poorly. I'm not too sad that the interviews aren't real, it's just there was some confusion here.
