Damn, this is exactly why I hate coming on here sometimes (and so does Ian and the gang). Some of you guys just CANNOT BE PLEASED.

They have an actual show in the game, regardless if there are highlights or not, this is a HUGE step forward. Yet, you guys are like "I'm not impressed", this that and the third. The new interface is way more visually appealing than anything we've had in the past. You guys need to look at this with an open mind, and appreciate the effort that's been put into this. Besides, that video was only 2 minutes long, I'm sure there's more to it than we know right now.

You're comparing offseason newsboards to midseason news. I promise you, on Sunday night, nearly EVERY major news story is a game recap.

If you're looking for constant "T.O. is mad about ___" headlines, then you likely will be disappointed. And, no offense meant, but I hope you are. It has no business in the game unless it makes sense in the context of an in-game moral system, etc.

What about "Coughlin impressed with Giants blowout win"

OR

"Childress says Jackson will start"

OR

"With the injury of Romo, Kitna will need to step up"

Dude my god this is the first year for the extra point show. Like Ian has already said they will be building onto this in the coming year. Some of this stuff will get put into the show later on down the road. Give Ian a chance good god. Only so much that can be done in one fraking year. Some people just don't think about that. Some people just think Ian uses magic to add this stuff onto the disc. But bottomline it takes time.

It's something new it lets you wonder about other teams you will play and who you are curious about. Way better than the news paper and radio show

In the past you were able to have all these informations. The only thing is that you had to look for it in menus. The only new thing would be voice over what you are looking at. And if voice acting is great, and not always the same thing, this feature will be good.

Just saw this, as well. People can step back from the ledge now! My opinion, instead of something cheesy, I'd rather go with the '11 option and have them really flesh it out. But Fifa team has put out some phenominal DLC during this years cycle, so maybe they can get it up to snuff this year....

Yea I would pay a few extra dollars to get something like this early...

I will tell you that myself personally, cares almost NONE about visual things.

The key elements of a franchise mode are things like player progression, Draft logic, trade logic, contract signings, coaching philosophies, cap management. These are the things that make great franchise modes. I don't think it's a crime that I want to here about THESE things.

Sure, they added a nice shiny pre-game show. For myself personally, this does not sway me at all in wanting this game, because of the key elements of franchise are still bad, then the "Extra Point" means nothing.

I'm hoping we can see a LOT more about the fundamentals in the near future.
