Damn, this is exactly why I hate coming on here sometimes (and so does Ian and the gang). Some of you guys just CANNOT BE PLEASED.

They have an actual show in the game, regardless if there are highlights or not, this is a HUGE step forward. Yet, you guys are like "I'm not impressed", this that and the third. The new interface is way more visually appealing than anything we've had in the past. You guys need to look at this with an open mind, and appreciate the effort that's been put into this. Besides, that video was only 2 minutes long, I'm sure there's more to it than we know right now.

Ive already said that the new interface is great. Most of the time, I'm impressed with features and improvements Ian and co. come up with. I simply needed to express my opinion on the Extra Point show. And I think that if someone is not happy with the way the game looks, this person has the right to give his opinion.

Man the hating on Madden ends now!!! With the inclusion of Online Franchise, nothing else needs be said until the game comes out. They put something for everybody in the game and they improved many areas anyone still tripping has a personal problem that can't be corrected on these boards so go seek relief elsewhere. Feel free to start the hating again when the game comes out and we all get to playtest, until then relax and take notes.

Yea I would pay a few extra dollars to get something like this early...

Either way, There you have it, No Highlights Until Madden 11.

Now Ian did just tweet that they do have the framwork in place for it, maybe he's not ruling it out. But I would rather it be a fully fleshed DLC with something like fuller commentary for it and some really next-gen type of highlight-producing tech. As much as I loved 2k5, a lot of the highlights looked kinda canned. And the dialog for the voice-overs was minimal at best. "Jackson breaks it and he could go all the way..." Not a lot of variety to it, IMO...

this is a bit of a let down. Hopefully all the other improvements in presentation are enough to keep the franchises from getting stale right away. I hope at least they were able to add a bunch of new cutscenes during gameplay.

Oh yeah, I finally get to see the weather predicted for next game. Can't wait. Why didn't they put highlights into this? There would actually be a point in this feature.

Yeah I caught that too. That's awesome and has been needed in video games for years.

Only thing though is that if you get stuck playing like 5-6 straight rain games, there is no more "reseting the game" to fix the problem.

I'll do my own highlights. My goodness, it's getting to be that the game is doing too much, leaving those who like to make custom Youtube like videos obsolete.

The franchise looks excellent. Hopefully the cover is a sign of what the book will be like.

Man, the video mash feature for SportsWorld does make it kinda ridiculous to do your own thing.

I will tell you that myself personally, cares almost NONE about visual things.

The key elements of a franchise mode are things like player progression, Draft logic, trade logic, contract signings, coaching philosophies, cap management. These are the things that make great franchise modes. I don't think it's a crime that I want to here about THESE things.

Sure, they added a nice shiny pre-game show. For myself personally, this does not sway me at all in wanting this game, because of the key elements of franchise are still bad, then the "Extra Point" means nothing.

I'm hoping we can see a LOT more about the fundamentals in the near future.

Well you actually fall into that 1% that does not care about gameplay or Presentation. Your Probably going to want to keep on playing Head Coach, Josh Looman already said the Franchise in Madden 10 will not be as good as Head Coach. So Madden will probably not please you because they are not making the game for people like you, that is why you got Head Coach.
