It's understandable. He doesn't actually have anything to do with the game, so he may not always have all the details.

Besides, it is kind of fake because in real life you have to wait 5 years. In Madden, they get in (if worthy) as soon as the player decides to retire.
Its been in the last 2 years. 08 had highlight vids of some of the players already in there, which was cool.

I do like it in there, but the ballot is only for players retiring that season. I guess they can't use retired players names unless they fork out a ton of cash.

I do love how people get all excited by a little feature that has your players listed in the HOF rather than things like Pro-Tak, Online Franchise, Extra Point Highlight show, improved run and pass blacking, WR/DB interaction, better game environment (national anthum and fly-over), tons of custom sliders...

Not having a go, just always entertains me how some funny little unimportant feature that rarly gets attention when you have it can get peoples rocks off!!!

When I talk about presentation, I mean this: I don't care at all about colored cleats, or if every detail on the stadium is perfect, or if I can count blades of grass. That stuff is fluff. I would take PS2 or N64 graphics over current gen if the gameplay on the low graphics was great.

Franchise isn't worth playing if every team drafts a QB round 1 every year, and if the salary cap is irrelevant 3 seasons in, and if teams have no logic in their free agent signings, and if the sim engine is horribly innacurate.

Would you rather play a very un-realistic franchise with Extra Point or a great franchise without it? No brainer for me.
Josh Looman is in charge, I am not worried that the Franchise will suck. Give it time, all things good come to those who wait.

Nonethless, this new feature looks promising.

I'm confused. I didn't listen to the entire "interview" but heard the end when the interviewer gushed that this "was everything gamers have been asking for for years". But there's no commentary specific to highlights? Or is there? If there's no commentary, how is it any different than what they were doing last year - other than framing it around a show
HBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period

I thought it was okay but could have been implemented better. I hated having guys like Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders ending up being head coaches a decade into franchise mode when neither of them would ever even go into coaching in the NFL.

That I'm pretty sure was in 08 and 09 too... I def had a couple of ex players that weren't current coaches appear in there. they'd always have +7s to players in their old positions.

I felt like an idiot for asking this a while back, but I'm with you - Until it's confirmed, anything is possible (CPU sliders missing from 09.) If we're not allowed to control every team, like in the past, I won't even rent the game.

I'd love for this to be confirmed, once and for all.

I tend to agree with you, but you can't really list hand warmers and towels in a statement poking fun at other people for getting excited over a "funny little unimportant feature." HOF does for franchise presentation what things like hand towels do for in game presentation. To each his own.

It was, however, already in the game.

I'm really looking forward to seeing halftime and post game shows. But IMO, it's important to have highlights in the weekly wrap-up because only showing some stats is pretty boring to watch.

I'm with you, but don't you think it would have just gone unnoticed if say Dewayne White became a coach? You'd notice a new name but most people would prob think it was made up, not an ex player. If you aint using the big names, you'd prob just leave that feature out.
