These are my thoughts exactly. While the highlight show is great for the presentation aspect of franchise, what have they added to the core aspect of franchise mode, meaning the actual things involved in running a franchise?

My fear is that they have added nothing, and just fixed things that were broken last year while adding the highlight show to make it appear to be a whole new franchise mode. Essentially, it looks to be the exact same mode with a prettier interface and highlight show. The same mode I could only get through 4 seasons of in Madden 09 without getting bored.

I commend you for that bro. I never even got through 4 games of madden 09 franchise before I got bored with it!

Well when you control all teams like I do my franchise, thats covered. Run the one you want and let the others be.

Josh Looman is in charge, I am not worried that the Franchise will suck. Give it time, all things good come to those who wait.

If you note, I also said this:

I know it will be improved and I know with the work Looman did on Head Coach that there is a lot of potential...

I'm just saying, I want to see some information on the "engine" of Franchise, and less about the "new paint job"

during the Extra Point recaps, is there at least audio with the host describing and breaking down the current screen you are looking at? Or does it just go silent and you just read the text on screen?

I understand that the highlights in non-played games would just be "made up" and probably see the same "highlights" doubled over the course of a few seasons, but i still think it would be better than a stat screen. Its not a game breaker by any means, just would of been a neat addition to the "immersion" factor of a season or franchise.

Oh well, this will all be for nothing if the gameplay doesnt show up this year, thats all i really care about. The rest is just icing on the game....

I tend to agree with you, but you can't really list hand warmers and towels in a statement poking fun at other people for getting excited over a "funny little unimportant feature." HOF does for franchise presentation what things like hand towels do for in game presentation. To each his own.

It was, however, already in the game.

Completely agree hand warmers and towels aren't a big deal. But tons of people had been banging on about them (So they became a much bigger deal than they deserved to be, still happy they are in though). I don't think there was ever a thread saying "let my players in the HOF".

Then again... thats prob because the feature was already there... lol

Absolutely. Playing co-op was fine but solo in franchise was dreadful.

Outstanding! The ONLY potential red flag I saw was that Aaron Rodgers was either 29 of 38 or 29 of 36. Hopefully the sim stats are a lot better than that. That's robo qb all over again.

I'm fine with it....I can deal with that, if they could include it in a DLC or patch it would be awesome. Otherwise, I'm very excited for how it looks.
