Re: The franchise looks pretty bad.
Forget every major feature and fixes that they made for this game! If the top stories are injuries then I am not buying this game!

Re: No Video Highlights in Extra Point
Only dissapointing to the folks who have waited a LONG time only really wanted one thing this year for a Madden christmas and that was:
An authentic pre-game/halftime/post-game HIGHLIGHTS SHOW.
I think the game is headed in the right direction (please don't get me wrong), but we really really were looking forward to getting an actual highlight show this year. There are those of us who could have done without online franchise, without injury carts, without colored cleats, without hand towels, without the kitchen sink.
We just wanted to see a really nice highlights show with narration. Please, Santa Cummings ...it's all I want for christmas.
Edit: Some of us would pay MORE money to be able to have the highlights show as DLC. Alot more money. We live, breathe, eat, and sleep the NFL.Last edited by joejccva71; 06-02-2009, 09:32 PM.Comment

Re: The franchise looks pretty bad.
All people can do is bash Ian and crew work. It;s great franchise addtion. I have no problem. If you don't like it then don't by it that simple. No onr is twisting your arm to buy it. The presention looks great compared to 2k5.Comment

THAT'S WHAT "TOP STORIES" SHOULD LOOK LIKE.
It shouldn't look like a FRIGGIN SCOREBOARD.Green Bay Packers | Milwaukee Brewers | Bradley Braves | Wisconsin Badgers
Marquette Golden Eagles | Milwaukee Bucks | Milwaukee PanthersComment

Re: EA SPORTS at E3: Madden NFL 10 Producer Josh Looman
I am going to have to agree with some of the posters here guys. If the Extra Point Show is nothing more than just a new interface to show stats, box scores, and a simple preview of upcoming games with NO highlights it won't be impressive honestly. And yes I will hate to say this, and I will get bashed for it but it needs to be said: 2k5 will still beat it.
I know knives are being thrown at my head right now, but it's true. The Extra Point Show is a great idea, but you HAVE to put HIGHLIGHTS with narration of the big plays in there.
Otherwise it's just a nicer fluff way of showing just a box score and a preview of next week games.
Sad to say it, but some of these posters are right.
We need highlights.
I know I was, but it didn't have that same "it" factor that it did in year one.
Now, maybe on the next gen (current gen?) they can make much, more more highlights, which would lead to more replay value.
I think my thing is this...is the Extra Point Show an actual SHOW...like NFL 2K5's Sportscenter...or is it just a excellent, convenient menu system? If it's the former, where we get Fran Charles giving us (with his voice) updates on injuries, news around the league, weekly awards, free agency info, a draft preview, who's a draft sleeper, who's stock is up and down...then that's a success.
If it's the latter, then it's a great way to concentrate a large volume of info into one space, but it's an immense disappointment from what we all wanted--which was a SHOW that made it feel like the NFL league that we play in week after week, year after year, is alive and constantly changing.Comment

Re: No Video Highlights in Extra Point
I have raised this question/statement before....
You could ONLY really get a highlight if the game actually played.... visually. So unless you all want all simmed games to be played out on your box.... "live", you would just get something made up. Which is not really what I would like....I'm happy with what they got in there !Comment

Re: No Video Highlights in Extra Point
Not too big of an issue for me, I prefer the discussion of big stories more so than highlights of big plays.
Still only seen about 30 seconds of it, but as far as I can tell the host will basically say welcome to XP show and then maybe run down of big stories or upcoming games and then a whole bunch of quick link to stats. I'm ok with that.
How often will you actually watch highlights of a team doing a Wild Cat or Hail Mary touchdown?
And who knows, they may even have weekly interview with players or something, where they ask a player questions? That'd be cool.Comment

It's something new it lets you wonder about other teams you will play and who you are curious about. Way better than the news paper and radio showComment
