I am expecting another patch day 1 like last year with this one here. I am really hoping its just a bad build and we get what we been hearing (the positive side) for release
I'm not saying the game is not going to be your cup of tea, but I just know if that pass rush is not fixed and the man coverage is where it is at right now. I can't take that.

Well its pro, they're going to make it easier. If you want realistic gameplay you should have to play on All-Madden.

I know I pointed it out in much of my feedback, but I don't think I ever gave them just an 'overall' impression, and that would have been the biggest thing.

They tried to make jostling sort of rare and not real obvious... I wish I could have shown them this on CD. Watch the replay at 2:35. That is NFL coverage.

Thanks, you made me reminisce about Ahmed Plummer... I wish he never got all those injury's.

This makes me wonder 3 things.

            1) What build did the CD guys play with?
            2) What build did E3 get?
            3) What build are they currently at, and how much time development is between E3 build, and current build.

Both of these were my thoughts exactly as I watched the vids. At what point should you be able to beat a 99 rated CB with a mid tier(at best) WR. Never! The game ships with the default on pro. That means that on default, scrubs are gonna be torching Nnamdi. I don't like that. That's not an accurate representation of the NFL. The only way Ginn should be torching Nnamdi is if the skill level was on something less than rookie. A mode for someone that has never watched a football game in their life. That's it. I'm like adem now.....damn E3. I'm still gonna pick up the game (no other choice for NFL football), but I don't think I'll be there at midnight like I was planning on before.

Cap, I understand that, but I have played this game on all levels and pass rush . Man coverage was better in CD build than what I see in these vids even on Pro.

We played an April Build, the E3 build is a late May build.

It's not good hearing this type of feedback from LB and Adem. To play devil's advocate for a second is it possible that:

                    1. The build for E3 was tweaked to show a (sorry about the phrase) more wideopen game.

                    2. Sliders could fix the potential pass rush issue and DB reaction to passes?

BTW, I really liked the sliders last year. Will they be the same this year with the same set available for CPU?

Guys this isn't good news b/c if there is no pass rush and man coverage isn't any good then scrub receivers would be beating the 2nd best corner in the game 'the great asante'

                        Re: Man Coverage In '10

There should really be no excuse for Man Coverage to not be working properly in Madden considering the Raiders run it exclusively, having had a top 10 pass defense since 2006.

It's really disappointing in 09 to play as the Raiders(my favorite team) and not be able to really effectively use their same defensive strategy

I'm still getting the game but this is a must-fix

I cant take it either but madden has become a game of zone defense and it is boring running plays you know are able to crak a zone and watching people just dart off to the sideline with the Qbs all gm is a sad fact.

Man coverage would eliminate this way of playing because good corners would lock up just about anyone stride for stride and it help make people really think about the plays they call and read defenses.

Now not having pressure on the Qb is going to be an air assault game. Just think how bad it was when people scrambled in the backfield all day just to get someone open.

Oh did anyone test out the scrambling in the backfield or running sideline to sideline with the Qb like they do online to if it has any effects that wont reward that type of play.

Yeah, 09 is so bad that I have went back to playing 08 (post patch). It's a better game due to the man coverage and running game. I am trying to get a roster together in the rosters forum.

In response to what I highlighted here: If the pass rush stays the way it is, with the slower game speed, guys will not even need to run around to get people open. Picking a part zones are gonna be cake.
