The holding penalties look so good. You can tell it was a holding call. Details!

KVB gave us the only front 4 pressure of the first half on a half line jet stunt (even though it was not run correctly, I'll take it) at the 4:17 mark of video 3. I don't even know who Terrell Suggs, or Jevon Kearse are? And barring that one play KVB was absent as well. No pressures/hurries by the front 4. QB's chillin in the pocket. Suggs is completely absent in the first half. No pressures, swallowed up by the run ect., Ngata and Pryce did some good against the run. Not against the pass. The best defensive series IMO was your first one when you ran the 44. That first play was great baring one thing, Thorton the play side OLB just stands there and waits for Heap to block him (you are going to see a lot of this in the feedback because it is sticking out like a sore thumb). He's gotta step and collision with Heap, not wait for Heap. Other than that that play looked great.

On your first TD run with Johnson, that's that CD bug. The SS Nakamura he just slides inside for no reason and then waits to get scooped up by the blocker. They are leaving the outsides open. If the game ships like that this is going to be a huge problem. There is alot more but I don't want to get into it here.
I'll send that late tonight, once I get home and have a chance to look at the videos myself. We're gonna try to kinda team up on this like we did on CD.

You said this game was played on slow rather than normal?

The idea is the home crowd stays quiet when the home team has the ball espically at the goal line. If the home crowd was to make noise when the home team has the ball the crowd could cause them to false start.

I actually think that Ian see's nothing wrong with the running animations. That's disheartening.
On that Chris Johnson breakaway TD on the 1st vid, no way can anybody say that it looked realistic . Not even one bit.

^^THAT is how Chris Johnson is supposed to run on a breakaway TD. Look how fast he's pumping his legs . Look how he's not swaying his arms like some maniac. His arms are pumping close to his body. Also check how he's leaning when he's running through the 1st level of defenders.

EA should use these kind of videos as reference, man. It baffles me how they still get these running animations wrong...

So I busted out the stopwatch because after the first half, it seemed as if the QBs had wayyyyyyyyy too much time to throw. I wanted to find out what the average time was from snap to throw for all the passes in the second half.

The results of my little test are rather interesting. First, the overall combined stats for Collins/Flacco:

                        12-28-4INTs-1TD..called back for holding.

The pass plays: time to release/result

                        3.0/inc
                        2.4/int

                        3.1/Comp...holding penalty
                        1.4/Screen complete CJ
                        3.3/Inc

                        2.8/Comp Heap
                        2.9/Inc.

                        2.4/Inc.
                        1.8/Screen complete CJ

                        other numbers......
I dont think the defense is broken by any means and it did look difficult to move the ball with ease for the most part... But if we can just limit the big plays, we would have had our desired result... that and the pick 6's.... hopefully they are a rarity as well...

Im not sure what football you are watching but that does not happen. If a RB is not supposed to run a route he wont, Unless there is alot of QB pressure then he will try and get open, but chances are he will be blocked.

And a Guard will not pick up a person who is not in his area on a passing play. If there is no one to block and he helps out the Tackle or center, dont you think a defensive coordinator would pick up on that and run a few delayed blitzes?

It's a video game. I know people say it all the time but dude. There is nothing that can be done about it right now and you continually remarking about it won't change anything. Maybe it'll change in Madden 11 but for now, what you see is what you get. If it's a game breaker for you then that's a shame because most of us have seen flaws that we dislike but we're willing to ignore them because we love VG football.

Ya in these videos the RBs looks still a little stiff when running with the ball. The running outside seem to be still wide open sometime. There was a few things here and there that need to be addressed. But other then that the video looks real good. BTW the pass rush still seems to be kind of crappy. Ian please tell me ya'll are still working on the pass rush. The QB in the pocket is still having a ton of time. If the game comes out and has a lack of pass rush then thats going to be a killer.
