i was being sarcastic. i was just pointing out that people criticizing the game based on alpha videos was very silly and only served to make them look dumb in the end.

Being able to create plays would be nice, but I would be happy if they would simply allow custom playbooks like old gen. Basically give us the power to select which formations, and which plays within those formations we have in our playbooks.

That way we can get rid of plays we know we will rarely or never use, and tune our playbooks to our personal style of play. That really adds to the customization of offline franchise.

After all, I want the team I control to feel like "MY" team, and being able to customize playbooks goes a long ways towards achieving that .....

Some cool stuff for sure. Making team specific formations that put people like Welker, Ward, and Clark in the slot was a smart move. I hope the D can counter by man-locking a corner on them in these situations...

Goot pt man.. i would welcome the addition of having to select different formations and customize my personal playbook. I like that predator defensive formation but i know that tennesee wont have it simply because they dont neccesarily have the personnel to run it. i would be cool to have that in there so i agree. I just dont want to go online and play someone that created a play that simply cannot be stopped, cheese with it, then all of a sudden there ranked top 10 off an exploit you know? and im afraid that is what would happen and thus spoil the online experience.

Great blog... I cannot wait to boot up the game and play against my home team Texans to see how often the run the bootlegs and set up the dump off's to the TE. This is truly good stuff.

I'm cautiously optimistic about this, solely because in a lot of cases, the less that is mentioned about something bodes not so well for that subject, in this case, the defense got about 2 paragraphs at the end of the blog, somewhat like an afterthought. I can only hope that the defense will have a counter to all of these new sets, and that we can key in on certain members of their personnel that are killing us.

I will say that this blog did give me hope though, I really like the idea that teams will play to their strengths and to negate their weaknesses.
Our purchasing power is being eroded. So especially now, the goods must be held to a standard. We end up happier as consumers, and the companies get a clear message: "We won't tolerate sub-par goods." It's a shame, no one cares to speak with their wallet.

Can we please finally get a create a playbook feature that we can use online? It would be sweet to create my own plays and formations and domenate people with them. Great blog though.
I do have one question however. In franchise mode will the CPU AI take into account change of coaching schemes when a team hires a new coach? I saw that the AI is adaptive for when a player switches teams but does it work the same when coaches switch teams and bring in their own system? For instance if the Colts were to hire Bill Cowher, they would not be passing the ball 60% of the time on 1st down, they would try and establish the run a lot more. Just something that I pointed out that was not clearly answered or talked about in the blog.

That blog is great. It's great that they made another blog because I thought they were going to stop.

The only problem is, I don't think they should set the percentages to be exactly what was run last year. The dev team should leave some room for variations during the course of a game.

Think about it. If an offense is rushing against a rush dominant defense the majority of the time, it would make the game unfun to have a team like the Ravens swarming on the ballcarrier while the game dosen't let the game change it's percentage for that game only.
It's all about the Chargers, the Lakers, and the............*falls asleep*
