i believe ian talked about blocking logic early on. time will tell if it is fixed.

I saw the difference in the play of the defense and the offensive blocking, you ran the play correctly on the other game because if you had bounced it to the outside the linebacker could peel away from the block and possibly made the play. Also the free safety reaction to the play is stuff of a good football player. he peak in the backfield and when he saw the play was going away from him he took the correct angle of pursuit and was able to assist in stopping the play. was this 2k8?

I know he talked about how pro-tak affects blocking, but I don't remember anything about blocking awareness being mentioned. I may be wrong. Anyone remember if anything has been mentioned on this issue?

But why is Pro-Tak necessary? 2K's been doing it the correct way for years.

I sincerely hope that Madden's got this fixed.

Check my other videos. I have two up...I question calling it a pass defense but I give it good once over.

As far as the rambling, ehh, I apologize for it. I try to keep them 4-7 minutes. My 2 "rules", first off (after the first video) I wont post my own vid's, just not me. Second, unless I drop an F, I dont reshoot them. Its all off the cuff stuff, so I expect to reiterate too much. That said, some of the stuff I see in Madden just makes you verbally scratch your head, its like where do you even start sometimes.

I would love to see a Dev's reaction, Id kill for a filmed reaction (2 girls 1 cup style). I know I personally take pride in my job. If somebody was to call me out on it that bad, I would want some say or atleast try to defend myself.

For those who say my goal is to embarrass EA, your wrong. I may be brutal, but I dont make the game do what it does. After paying over $200 for Madden's the past 3 years, I think I have earned the right not hold punches. As far as trying to "win a trip to a CD", thats not me either. If some random guy has to go show them whats wrong with the game for them to make it right, you have more problems than me going to a CD.

Ive said all long, I look at this stuff and I dont see how adding any more processes can make it play better. I think any reasonable person who is placed in charge of a product would make correcting the current flaws a top priority. Put a game out that is playable first and foremost, everything else can be added next year. A playable 2010 would win over old fans and build a base for new ones.

On the madden play, I did not like the way Urlacher ran around the block, I expected him to engage the blocker shove him to the side an make the play. What was Payton Manning doing blocking the linebacker behind the play, that should have been an Illegal crackback block, it would not have any bearing on the play because it was now behind them. I hope that EA has fixed this. it seems that the processor keep looking for the correct animation.

I pose this question to you: Do you think that you will see the exact same problems in Madden 10 that occurred in Madden 09 considering all of the improvements?

very funny vid ryan. i respect you and apex for what you trying to do and i been and im sure you have too have just been waiting for EA and madden to become a NFL FOOTBALL game.

right now madden is TRASHDEN and has held that title for 4 years now cause madden 06 came out Nov 05. i also agree that the madden faithful are quick to bash people like us with there words but no madden faithful can provide a video reply about the product they love so much.

live and 2k basketball have there faithful and they show the positives to counter the negatives. GUESS NO MADDEN FAITHFUL has youtube accounts(lol...YEAH RIGHT)

from the vid i still see run blocking issue. i dont know about passing but IMO madden 10 improvements lies within the colored cleats

I believe each of us who played madden over the years of seen these types of ghost plays. I too hope that the developers will look at this and make the changes if they have not already. It is too late to make the changes for this year. the current game is now in mass production getting ready to ship.

i dont mind the ghost plays cause it is a video game but when physics and commen sense is being disrespected thats where madden drew the BIG line for next gen

I can tell you unequivocally, yes. I assumed this would be corrected in Madden 06-07, then Madden 07-08, then Madden 08-09. If this was a simple fix, I feel a patch could have done it.

The videos EA puts out are borderline propaganda (they have total creative control of them) and yet those still show the same game flaws.

EA has lost my trust (but not yours), as a consumer. Only a fixed product will renew my faith.
