How do you know it can only be used once?

You'd have to assume that like all DLC on the Marketplace, that you redeem each code is unique.

well ill be disappointed if i dont get my code tomorrow via email cuz i preordered online. cuz the stuff with the gamestop employees not even knowing there is a demo sounds fishy

All the Gamestops in my area have said that they aren't getting the codes until the 23rd.

damn that's weak...well, i'll be sure to call mine up tomorrow afternoon if i don't get it via email sometime in the morning. i don't mind stopping by there if i have to either.

This sucks for me. I'm going out of town tomorrow and I'll be in the car for 12 hours. If they only have a few codes then I'm screwed. Also, does anyone know if you can show gamestop a recite (don't remember how to spell it) of your pre-order even though you didn't pre-order there? If you can I'm going to just try there instead. Hopefully I can get it.

Get your demos as soon as you can....Pastapadre came down with news tonight that you are not guaranteed the demo. There are limited amount of codes being handed out.

A couple of updates for this thread.

1) I'm asking around internally to get an update on the code situation. I should be able to find out tomorrow when the codes are supposed to go out. Whenever GS decides to actually execute is a different story...

2) The demo on 7/30 (the non-GS version) is actually 1 minute quarters. Not exactly sure where the 2 minute thing came from but wanted to clarify either way.

Phil - one minute quarter demos are a disgrace.

I don't blame you personally - I know that stuff is out of your hands - but pass it on to your higher ups.

EA seems to do everything in its power to tick off customers.


We don't get Gamestop codes in Canada ... and even if we did, that's no excuse for this crap.

There is really no point in releasing a 4 minute demo, it's way to short to even get a feel for the game, especially in a sports game. This is a poor way to market your game and a bad way to treat your customers. Downloading a 1.2 gig demo so you have the ball for about 120 seconds total.....That's way to short plain and simple.

A good demo with a reasonable amount of playtime will sway me into buying a game or not. A 4 minute sports demo doesn't help either way. I good example great demos where found on the psx demos discs, and the main reason i bought a psx, back in the day.

IMO, you guys shouldn't even bother releasing the 4 minute demo. I've already tried one of these one minute demos in the past and it's so short it ruins any feel you try to get for the game. Is that what EA wants?

I dont get it, The purpose of a Demo is make people want to buy the game. I am going to buy the game regaurdless but only having 1 minute Quarters is not going to sell this game to prospective buyers.

The People at EA better wake up and smell the coffee because they are hurting themselves. I have seen EA do alot better job of creating betters games lately but their marketing has been awful lately. This is just another example, Give your fans 3 minute quarters.

Personally I do not see why it is not 5 minute quarters? Do they honestly think that by having 5 minute quarters in the game, some people will not buy it?

I really don't want to go to game stop and pre order the game if I am forced to come back and get the code another day.

Any chance this extended demo will make it way to the UK?
