Just spoke to my Gamestop and he stated the week of July 29th for the codes.

He also gave me a bit of good news. He played M10 at the EA Conference and stated it is pretty good and a lot better than 09. He is a huge 2K fan and stated Madden sucked since 2001. But, he stated he had to give it up this year due to the fact the game is good.

I asked - How is the graphics
He stated - Better than 09 and the player models look better and not robotic movement like 09.

I asked - How about the animation
He stated - They used a new animation engine which used the motion capture of 11 on 11 actual gameplay. Meaning, they used 11 guys to motion capture.

He also talked about the QB throwing while being hit and the fumble feature.

That really sounds like he made that up

So i plan on going to GS today and sell like 10 ps3 games i dont play anymore.

So I figured while i'm in there ill save time and just pre order madden.

So will i still get the exclusive GS demo on the 23rd or whenever it comes out?

I am a pretty good judge of character (it's my job), and feel he had no reason to lie to me. Plus he bashed all other madden games before he unwillingly gave props to M10.

It is what it is. Everyones taste is different.

But, I would like to know more about the 11 on 11 motion capture with the mini football EA did????

Granted it's not even noon yet (eastern time), the situation looks bleak as far as getting the codes today. To me, it didn't matter that much as the demo wasn't available til next week anyway. It wouldn't have done much good to have a code just marinating for a week. Still, all of the conflicting information is a little discouraging. I think Phil foreshadowed this upcoming confusion:

I'm mad the demo comes out so late ... Waiting on Madden and not buying NCAA is pretty painful .

So still no word on the release of the codes... and some gamestops are saying they get the codes on July 23... and others are saying July 29... and EA is saying the codes will be emailed or instore on July 15 ...

Why is this no surprise?

So I just called customer care for GameStop and it's funny how little info they know. I asked them about the whole code issue and they said "they should be sent out really soon" and I asked for a date they said they don't know. I asked them when the demo releases and again they said they didn't know. I'm guessing anyone getting a code for the demo today is highly unlikely.

I'm optimistically expecting an email today with the code, but I won't be surprised if one doesn't arrive.

I'm not about to get in the car to go get the code. Might as well see how it plays out. Demo isn't 'til next week anyway.

My GameStop guy said that the demo will be on a disc that I need to pick up, and he doesn't know when they will arrive.

Man, they don't have a clue, do they?
