Wouldn't surprise me though that EB corporate didn't have a clue...

Just called my local Gamestop where I pre-ordered. Guy didn't have a clue about any Madden demo codes. That figures, our Gamestop never has a clue.

Oh no wait... i don't live in America and so don't have a gamestop within about 6000 km so don't even have the option.

I can't wait to have 5 plays on my 23 second demo though.

The guys at game stop only know information about Final Fantasy 66, Halo, Gearz of War and world of warcraft games. I mean I wouldnt expect some of those guys to know what Madden is. The thing is most of these guys never went outside as kids, they just knocked around people on Quake, Doom and Turok.

The other day I was with my little brother and we went to a gamestop that we havent been to for awhile. When I walked in I saw
all these Jets and Vikings Replica Throwback jerseys with guys like Al Toon, Greenaway and a few others. The jerseys were as a special Madden Promotion, before I knew what they were for I asked the guy working and he seriously said they were Baseball jerseys.

I then walked out cracking up.

Here in Miami, a good friend of mine who is a manager at a GS here said he expected them this Friday....just spoke with him today. So i guess we'll see, hopefully he is right

I find this whole code idea (another marketing techique to get pre orders)personally a little scary. Hopefully the game is a big enough jump in improvement not to need such additional sales tatics to make sales.

Im not from Miami but looking at this post and a few others above pretty much tell me the Codes will be avaliable at the end of the week. Hopefully GameStop can email them to you, I will be starting a job out by my summer house where there are no GameStops within 30 miles.

I don't work at a game store and I know you're kidding but you're here on a videogame forum making fun of guys who like other types of videogames

what happens if they show up at the store before they are emailed and they run out? does that mean you aren't going to get one even though you have your receipt and were told it would be emailed to you? or are they definitely going to hold them for everyone that pre-ordered?

Or maybe they have alot of confidence in the product and they are willing to put it out there to be analyzed by the community. Its a risk...especially for EA, but they have being taking alot of risk lately with Madden and I like what I'm seeing, even though this is the foundation game.
