personally i dont pay attention to overall ratings anymore...More like the individual ratings of the players. Ray Lewis isnt as good as he used to be but he doesnt miss tackles and is probably the smartest LB in the league. Hines Ward is one less than Calvin Johnson and Owens because his blocking adds to his ratings. If I were the ratings team Id just look at the individual ratings and not pay attention to the overall ratings as much.

Bradley - 106 tackles, 1 Sack, 1 INT
Jordan - 62 tackles
Gaither - 59 tackles, 2.5 sacks.....yeah these are outstanding numbers.

T.J. Houshyourmama has no issue with his 91 OVR rating. he has an issue with his speed rating only.

There are bigger issues than that for the Seahawks IMO.

How does Deon Butler the Seahawks 3rd rd choice have only a 93 speed rating when he had a faster 40 time than Darius Heyward bey?

Heyward Bey has a 97 speed rating and Butler has a 93 speed rating.

I know they probably go by the combine and Bey had a 4.30 40 yard dash while Butler had a 4.38 40 yard dash yet in his scouting report he had lower than a 4.3 and even if that is the case how does that .0008 seconds drop him 4 points?

You are spot on with Tomlinson and Lewis. Lewis is more deserving of his rating over LaDanian. I do like LT as a player, but you are right he doesn't have the same physical gifts at this point. There's a lot of carries in those legs. Lewis is still a force, but he isn't at a defensive MVP level like his rating shows... I think they kept it high because of his popularity and marketability.

I don't believe Tomlinson or Lewis are overated (well maby Lewis)
I know it may seem like an excuse but Tomlinson's ability to cut wasn't there and Lewis doesn't need an excuse he was excellent last year, not 97 excellent but right about there, but great read like always

I'm sorry, but this dude needs to actually WATCH Ray Lewis before saying stupid **** about him. He was an All-Pro again last year for a reason. Just because he is in his mid-30's doesn't mean he isn't very good anymore. He is a FREAK.
