Re: 15 Minute quarters/15 sec accelerated clock = SIMULATION HEAVEN
if you play relatively fast and want realistic sim stats but want to finish a game in an hour or less 12 min 15 accel is the way to go (slow speed)..this is after 30 or so games of testing.
the reason this is better than 15 min 25 accel to me is because you still get time at the line of scrimmage to make a couple of adjustments.Comment

Re: 15 Minute quarters/15 sec accelerated clock = SIMULATION HEAVEN
I laughed at this.
This is just my opinion so take it for what's it's worth, but if you're not playing 15 min quarters then I don't see why you would even use accelerated clock. The whole point of it to me is to have realistic game clock while cutting down the overall time of the game. If you're doing 12 min quarters, what's the point? Why not just do 7 min quarters and turn accelerated clock off?
Also like someone posted earlier, this is how I am counting plays:Comment

Re: 15 Minute quarters/15 sec accelerated clock = SIMULATION HEAVEN
Tom Brady- 47 TD passes, 117.0 passer rating (led league in both)
Brandon Jacobs- 6.0 YPC ()
Randy Moss- 17 TD catches
lol, I know that's probably of almost no help.
Also, I seriously hope they patch the QB quick snap. That would make 15/15 perfect for me.Last edited by RayAP19; 08-12-2009, 08:38 PM.Comment

Re: 15 Minute quarters/15 sec accelerated clock = SIMULATION HEAVEN
It's an interesting thread this. I've always played fairly patiently but never wanted to play full games.
However after playing The Show and a couple of other sports games, it got me thinking: 'There are maximum 19/20 games in a football season. If it takes me 90 mins to complete a game, then so be it'. A season will be finished in three weeks with just one game a day. In real life the football season is pretty short so playing a full 15 min game is the way to get into every game and enjoy them.
Realistic stats will also amount to better player progression, more realistic awards and pro-bowl voting, so everyone's a winner really. Well, maybe except the Lions! (hopefully we'll do ok this year :P)
Your franchises will move at a steadier pace this way too, meaning you will probably savour it more than playing 2 seasons a week with games at just less than an hour.
the accelerated clock is a good idea, because if you know the play you want to run, you can be ready to snap the ball with 32, 33 secs left on the play clock.
How exactly does it run the time off? With 15 ACC, do you start 'in the huddle' with 25 secs on the play clock? Or does it take the time from after you choose your play?Supporting Leeds United, Colorado Rockies, Detroit Lions and the Colorado Avalanche!
