With the theme "everything you see on sunday" why is it that in ranked games, accelerated clock is ON?

      side note:

I've never seen the clock accelerate in my 24 years of watching football on sundays, if you think about it...this is THE most unrealistic part of the ENTIRE game...a clock speeding up, think we'll EVER see that on sunday? ....... think hard.......

(sure there are different options....but this one was FORCED on us, and we don't see it on sundays)

You also dont see players breaking huddle with 30+ seconds left on the play clock, which happens alot without the accelerated clock in Madden. Most teams dont snap the ball until it is within 10 seconds, and alot of times even 5.

I can agree that it shouldnt be forced on anyone, but IMO, Id rather see the accelerated play clock. Some of you take the "If you see it on Sundays..." saying WAY too literally. I see commercials on Sundays....doesnt mean I want to see them in the game.

Re: Madden NFL 10 Q&A Blog with the Dev Team

After reading through a few threads regarding the "very slow" game speed, I decided to give it a shot. The threads claim that said game speed yields better gameplay for both human and CPU; blocking animations that are not present at other speeds are seen on "very slow", and the CPU seems to have a better offensive game, namely running. I tested these claims by playing multiple games and found them to be accurate.

Can I/we get some feedback from the devs regarding this? I believe it's a pretty legitimate finding and something that has perhaps was never noticed prior to launch--given the short QA cycle, this is understandible. Thanks!

I'm willing to bet most questions that begin with "Why" are going to be ignored. Generally they're unconstructive. I'd try rephrasing... instead of "why aren't the flats covered", rather, "Will the issue of the flats not being covered be addressed in the patch?" might be better. "Why" questions are generally confrontational in this context.

what you really don't see on Sundays is the an offense subbing all their players in and out, calling a play, and lining up all in 3 seconds like you can in Madden without the Accelerated Clock turned on. With it on, the game takes a realistic amount of time to sim those things. This is a no brainer.

Would you please add individual team Auto Subs, and accurate Coaching Schemes for each team?

I kno this issue probally cant be patched but i'm gonna ask anyway...when running routes the offensive players breakdown within the route when cutting...I have yet to see the defenders breakdown...Will this be addressed...Also Raheem Morris's age and weight...He's 32 and skinny...Also can we get the "player of the game" interviewed instead of the QB everytime

you also dont see teams breaking the huddle with enough time to audible and completely change the play at the LOS 4-5 times before the ball is snapped and STILL have 5 seconds to spare.

Interesting. Havent tried this one online but if the accelerated clock runs in ranked games it sounds like EA found a way to cut the cheese, pun intended.

Is there a possibility of there being playbook dlcs? (And my opinion on it... You could make a playbook of past legendary coaches..but just don' slap a name to it.other than maybe naming something shotgun heavy or something like that.)

hey ian and josh looman great job on the game this installment is 10s better than 09 i have played every version you have released im in the 40 club lol i love to still play nfl games on console.

with that being said i was wondering first please fix my detroit lions uniforms there to powdery could you make the blue more brilliant second the helmet logo is not brilliant enough and they greyon the helmet is dull should be lusterious silver like the raiders i find looking at there helmets yuk.

other than that i find the game exciting to play last year i bought it and returned it one day later this year i plan on keeping it because i know it will only get better. one feature next year i would like to see is players on the cpu ai being replaced for bad play and animations of them being pulled from the game for to many fumbles or qb throwing 4 or more ints.

also could you please add random qb muffs from center or high or low snaps that can lead to turnovers. refs that reverse penalty calls or corections on who the penalty is on.

also if maybe you could make it so when i am on defence and if i am in nickle zone to counter the cpu three wr sets you could have the logic automitically flip the play if they decide to line that third reciever to the right of the field because when you go to flip it to match up right the nickle back eather bumps into your line man or never gets to were he should be before the play is hiked.
the only glitch bug i have seen is the cpu sometimes punts when there in fg range this has happened to me 3 times in only 10 games.

you guys should be proud of this product i must say i have not had as much fun playing any next gen football game as this one love the look of the visors and the head coaches cyberfaces are dead on.

wishful thinking could you add charles rogers or mike williams to free agency lol i dont think eather has offically retired.
and frank okam dt for the texans. anyways thanks for the many hours of enjoyment.

Hey good observation. Thought I was the only one who noticed that. I did address that issue in my Madden 10 game guide thread here. http://www.operationsports.com/forum...ers-guide.html
I even have a video of it, 3rd video down.
