Thank you Jesus Ranch for understanding my side. It is really getting crazy how people attack anyone who has an opinion on this game. If you look at my posts you will know I take no sides. I had this gaem a week before anyone and was suggesting people should buy it. I would still do that to anyone who is a football fan. I am asloa fan who has been burned by EA for 4 straight years. Business is business. But having a happy consumer is a big part of business. IT is like the devs catch feelings anytime we point out clear faults and ask some serious questions. I thought that changed with Ian. Now he is gone. If they would have more communication especially right now when people have been waiting on news of a patch it would help how they are perceived.

Re: Madden NFL 10: AFL Legacy Pack DLC Details
Funniest thing about fanboys is that the 1st patch to fix the game isn't even out yet and they're ready to take out their credit cards or ask mom and dad for the money to buy this miniscule DLC which should have already been in the game.
I don't want to hear the devs tell me about how adding all this would make some stuff disappear in Madden 10. If that is the case, why do you have all this stuff on DLC and if all of it's downloaded, why does the game work perfectly fine?
Whats the devs excuse on this? To see who is really a EA fan? I want to hear the reason why they have these for DLC.Comment

Re: First details on AFL Legacy Pack DLC ($6.99)
-------------------------
DLC for sports games is weak. Sports franchises already have the luxury of having (pretty much) guaranteed sales every year. That is why I feel DLC for sports games is GREED, unless it is a totally new experience.
DLC makes sense for games that have expandable content and don't expire on a yearly basis like sports games do. It makes sense for CoD and Rock Band. I can play those games for years. Sports games are just going to come out with new versions in 52 weeks.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 10: AFL Legacy Pack DLC Details
In your thinking everything is just so simple. Have you ever thought about the fact that you might get laid off or you might run into hard times and that $7 you paid for some football unis could be a whole meal for your family from the grocery store(Yeah that $7 you spent at chick filet could be a whole meal for your kids.just sayin..) when you need to put food on the table. Something you should think about everytime you spend money. I'm 26 with no kids and could easily buy this and forget about it tomorrow.
Through your logic on this, I should not buy anything that may be considered "optional" things in life because I might get laid off tomorrow, and that is asinine.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 10: AFL Legacy Pack DLC Details
No, they didn't, they had the patriots retro jersey, which was really their current throwback that they had worn in 02, and the chargers throwback and possibly the bills, but thats it.
There was no afl field anything or patches or anything like that so please stop fabricating up bullsh**.
what are you talking about, go back into the game, they have 1960 throwbacks. they have the esact uniform, helmet and all that the titans are wearing this year, who cares if theres no afl patch.
go look at the AFL teams they have their old school unis.Comment

It's kind of like how once my daddy used to tell me, "Son, one day, you're going to grow up and understand that buying material things right now will make you happy, but when you get older, you'll realize how foolish you were and how you could have just saved your money for better things instead." He was right. This stupid AFL jersey crap for 7 bucks? People must have forgotten that we are in recession. 7 bucks could get you some good gas. 7 bucks actually buys a lot of grocery. 7 bucks could feed a small family in somalia.
7 bucks buys you a computer generated jersey to play in your game that does not make the gameplay better. 7 bucks.Last edited by jesusranch; 09-08-2009, 08:23 PM.Comment

Yeah, you see, I don't care if some of these people are stupid enough to waste their money on things that should have been. I don't care if it's down to their last 7 dollars to feed their family. They are the ones dumb enough to buy this. They will feel great about it too. All day. Maybe all year. But, in the end, one day, they will soon reflect on how stupid they were on buying into this hype.

Re: Madden NFL 10: AFL Legacy Pack DLC Details

Sure, I can think about that...It is bound to happen some time, it is happening to everyone in every industry. But that is why I prepare for such a situation. I save money, and keep money in the bank so that during my search for another job, I will be able to support my family. And guess what? If it gets to the point that I can no longer afford to have my PS3 or Wii or anything other than that around because we need food, then those things will be the first to get sold. The luxuries that I enjoy now like going out to lunch/dinner occasionally will also come to an end. I won't have to worry about things like DLC, because I won't have video games to play.
