Ok I don't get something about you. You talk about how wrong the "fanboys" are for saying something against the people that don't like the DLC. You also compared them to Hitler. Anyway what I'm saying is aren't you doing the same thing you accuse them of when you come on here and call them dumb. Then you yourself try to be witty and talk about all the things $7 could buy and that we are in a recession. I'm sure you yourself buy stuff still that you don't necessarily need but you do want. It's unfair to criticize someone and call them dumb for them spending their money on something they have the funds for and think is within their budget. There was some good discussion coming from those for and against Madden DLC on this thread but your namecalling and assumptions about people are really bringing down the quality of discussion. That's my opinion. You probably won't agree with it and great that's your choice.

I really don't know how to take this. You agree with everything I said about saving money and how every dollar counts and then at the end you call my way of thinking assine. Dude.. If you got kids and you are not living comfortable and money saved up your damn right I wouldn't be buying optional things. The whole reason I responded to you in the first place is because you are acting like it is only $7. What if for the past twenty years you were spending that 7$ for your AFL unis. That would add up then wouldn't it? Then maybe you would ask yourself why do I always have to pay for these. Too bad EA is smart and will switcth it up to something else next year.
My whole point is this(and I think that we are somewhat on the same wavelength, just conflicted on a couple of things): Right now I can afford it. And I don't have problems with them charging for the DLC. I'll pay for it because I will use it pretty much every time I play the game, because it affects my team. If I was hurting for cash, I wouldn't pay for it. And if I was struggling to eat or support my family, video games would be the last thing on my mind. But for now, we are in a comfortable situation, and I am willing to pay for it.Comment

Again, you don't seem to grasp the concept of all this. This is why I call "some of you" dumb. yes. I didn't name specifics. I said some of you, and I guess you're one of them since you took offense. Right?Comment

Nice little DLC that I might end up getting.
I still find it weird that this drops before patches though (could be wrong since I haven't spent a lot of time around here anymore) but until the things that need to be fixed are fixed...you know the rest.Comment

But there are a lot of things in anyone's life you can do that on. If you added up all of the times in your life that you went to a bar or went out to eat...It would add up a lot...and you could sit back and say, "Man, I should have stayed in and cooked, or grabbed a case of beer, it would have saved me so much money." But, more than likely, you will go out to a bar, or go out to eat again.

I say just go back to your madden and play. This discussion is not for you.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 10: AFL Legacy Pack DLC Details
Yeah, you see, I don't care if some of these people are stupid enough to waste their money on things that should have been. I don't care if it's down to their last 7 dollars to feed their family. They are the ones dumb enough to buy this. They will feel great about it too. All day. Maybe all year. But, in the end, one day, they will soon reflect on how stupid they were on buying into this hype while the guys at EA are just looking at their online bank account watching the funds grow from knuckleheads buying into capitalism.
It's kind of like how once my daddy used to tell me, "Son, one day, you're going to grow up and understand that buying material things right now will make you happy, but when you get older, you'll realize how foolish you were and how you could have just saved your money for better things instead." He was right. This stupid AFL jersey crap for 7 bucks? People must have forgotten that we are in recession. 7 bucks could get you some good gas. 7 bucks actually buys a lot of grocery. 7 bucks could feed a small family in somalia.
7 bucks buys you a computer generated jersey to play in your game that does not make the gameplay better. 7 bucks.
If $7 is too rich for your blood to spend on a "computer generated jersey" then don't buy it. But for me, its not, so when this becomes available, I'm going to pay my $7 and get enjoyment out of it.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

You saved money for the game by not buying other games. I also saved money for the game by working and putting money aside for it, much the same as you. Now, I will also save the money I spend on a frivolous lunch out, and bring a bag lunch, and buy the DLC that I feel is fairly priced.
I don't see where you get 'fanboy' from? Because I enjoy the game? Because I haven't created thread after thread after thread of complaints? Sure it has problems, but I am having fun playing it.Comment

7 bucks buys me an aspect of the game that will bring me enjoyment. And yes, we are in a recession. But some of us, I'm looking at myself here, have a great job, have invested money to grow a pretty nice nest egg that makes it possible for me to spend $7 on something that will bring me enjoyment.
If $7 is too rich for your blood to spend on a "computer generated jersey" then don't buy it. But for me, its not, so I'm going to buy.Comment

This should have already been included in the game and shouldn't cost us anything. You have more than enough money in your pockets! Have better DLC that we don't have to pay for because we already shelled out 60 bucks for this half finished game!Comment

Wonderful, I am happy for you that you saved all of your money so that you can get Madden instead of other games...Just sorry that you are so dissatisfied by the game that it ruined your gaming experience.

with that being said, I wish I could go over the concept of all this again, but my fingers are tired. Just saying, one day you'll all realize how idiotic this DLC was.Comment
