I'm sorry, but the Jags uniforms need fixed.

Some of you will post in here and say who cares well I care because I'm paying $60 for a sports game, I want my favorite team to have the right uniforms. Everything is wrong with them:

1. Here is the helmet:

That is not a teal metallic, that is bright green. In game, these helmets stick out way too much. They don't even match, it's ugly as sin.

This is what it should be:


2. The nameplate font is from the old uniforms. I heard they didn't change it because of space issues, but all they had to do was delete the previous and replace with the new.

3. The white stripe is missing on the away pants.

I understand nobody cares about the Jags in the NFL, but c'mon.

I understand you. If they have the NFL license, all the uniforms should be perfectly match the real ones. I don't even think this is a matter of opinion, the Jag uniforms in Madden are not a good representation of the Jags.

Their not, I can understand some minor things but they look like they guessed on the uniform colors and the helmet is a lime green puke color that looks like crap. Not to mention the decal is way too big.

The jerseys were made from concept art before they were officially unveiled.. Of course they're going to be a little off.

I play with the Browns, and the away uniform is f'd up.



This was the uniform combination from previous years 2006-2008.

Browns changed their old uniform to these uniforms this year



And it was in Madden 08. WTF EA? Get it together!

A lot of teams uniforms are messed up. The Panthers jersey's when you choose no sleeves and the Saint's golds are all wrong (way too dark).

This is making me sick. I am almost to the point of not buying 11. They have the license. at least make an effort to get everything right. If not the fundamentals, get the looks right including jerseys.

good post i said all year about the lions uniforms being wrong and they did not fix it but yet they jumped on the band wagon when they complained about the patriots and 49ers it does not pay to be a lions fan because they do not give them any love what so ever.

first in madden 2010 the mid field logo and endzone and helmet are all like a power light blue even the stripe running down the middle of the helmet is dark royal blue and the side logo of the lion is light powder blue. if they would look at the color code used in head coach 09 that is the royal blue looking it should have been trying to get the madden team to agree about the issue and correcting it

well let me just say i got a better chance at winning the lotto
it is so obvious too the uniforms in madden 10 the color is off
it makes you wonder when they look at them what type of monitor or tv are they viewing there current work in because plasma and lcd and the quality of your set will offset the color abit

Yeah I agree. I just don't understand how game companies can get authentic NFL licensed uniforms incorrect. If we are paying 60 bucks, we should have correct uniforms, especially if it's our favorite team. I mean just look at the helmet on the M10 screenshot, that is just ridiculous. It looks nothing like teal/black what so ever. And the team colors are completely off.

the reason they get them wrong is the nfl team will say for example a set of numbers that will represent there color so when they create them they input that number and it is suposed to be the actual color

but what they do not realize meaning the people who make the uniforms is that madden game lighting is not the same as in real life
the lighting in stadiums. so it renders differently good news is ncaa has come out and said there was a new lighting engine that they were using i am assuming that will be in madden as well. if all fails just give us the option to tweak colors.

In the past, EA went strictly by the NFL Style Guide as its reference for uniforms. Unlucky for EA and us, the Style Guide can be quite erroneous even though it's published by the league. Last year was the first year that EA really put effort into accurate uniforms based off feedback from message boards (such as this one, thanks Kane). It's easy to think that EA f'ed up the Jags uniforms, but when did EA first get a look at how the uniforms looked in game situations? I'd cut them a little slack considering they were brand new uniforms in 2009.

Hopefully the improvements continue this year.
