Re: PA Pass vs Surprise Onside Kick

The onside kick has been used a fair few times so far this season. Wasn't it the Rams that used on onside kick in the opening kickoff? I think it was the Detroit game.. Anyway, maybe that's why its been bought up, but PA all the way, it's a huge part of football. Then again, the deep ball never works anyway, it's always 5 yards off target with any QB, that includes setting your feet. Could be my slider set (PM's) but still rarely get a nice deep ball.

I want to see play action made better, it's far more important to me than surprise onside kicks. Get the defenders to flow properly on running plays (implement gap control), then get them responding proplerly to play action.

This is simple football and it should definitely take precedent as a key focus for Madden '12.

The QB Play Action rating and defense's Play Recognition rating need to come into play more prominently.

I would say better PA fake with better online pass blocking to go along with it. Surprise onside kicks happen once in a blue moon and it is just something a few teams are doing more of right now. It will fade sooner or later and not be used much. But PA is always there and needs some improvement along with other things.
