As far as the "continued bashing of EA" is concerned, what do you expect from people ? We've given constructive criticism and feedback for years. Yes some people are irate and bash EA, but everyone doesn't and there has been loads of criticism and feedback, that has been constructive, over the years.

If Madden 12 is another dud and I speak with my wallet and don't buy it, I'll still be upset. Saving $60 isn't going to make me, and many other people for that matter, feel better. I (we) still won't have the opportunity to play a quality football video game. That's what angers me, and a lot of other people: we feel that football gaming has been taken away from us.

valid...but has bashing EA on this site or other sites worked? no....it hasn't and you know it. perhaps it's time to evaluate what makes you happy in life and realize that EA isn't going to be able to do that anymore. divorce from something you love is ugly & even painful but it is a fact of life.

WTF was that BS EA. You guys suck really bad. I want my 2k football back asap. I am not putting up with the EA BS when it comes to the football sim ever again. Year after year EA spins the wheel on us only to take our money and give the football fans nothing in return. I hope madden goes on strike with the NFL. Well, ill say it now...NCAA is going to way better than madden by far....once again, madden is doing the bullcrap marketing...actually showing nothing!!...now NCAA, is showing me some good stuff already...they have me excited.....if you look closer to the players running on the field in the intro, Its looks completely like the same engine and animation...and madden reminds me a sneaky chick that teases!!....not feeling it at all!!!!

Doesn't NCAA come out a month earlier than Madden? Hence, they have their marketing one month of Madden.

i saw player tendencies hopefully for franchise mode....and i like the hot/cold streak....and custom playbook.......IM SOLD

Assuming they use hot/cold streaks in accordance with fluctuating OVR/Trade Value ratings, I think you have a good point.

They need to show more about the scouting/draft aspect as well.

So far I am leaning towards release day purchase.

Madden 10 had me SUPER excited, 11 truly disappointed me... 12 looks like it might impress me... maybe.

While I think you just killed his argument. A lot of what Madden adds also finds its way in NCAA hopefully tendencies do. I'm not that big on custom playbook and I may not like how they implement the onside kick(Only one a game really?).

I'd be mildly surprised if player tendencies found their way into NCAA in the exact same fashion that they appear in Madden out of concern for available memory. The size for roster files would balloon to include tendency information for all 8000+ players on all the teams combined.

damn you just dashed my hopes for NCAA12. Didn't think about that. NCAA 11 still doesn't even have the 3 different QB Accuracy ratings, I guess, because of the additional space.
Player tendencies are in my opinion even more crucial to a quality NCAA game than for the NFL because of the larger variety in play styles and range in ability. In the NFL even a guy as talented as Michael Vick can't take off 10 times a game. In NCAA there are a bunch of QBs carrying the ball 20 times a game.
I'd be happy if they could just do QB related tendencies in NCAA.

Also, just reminded me of a question that I'm sure has been asked before but I could never find an answer to. Why is it possible for NCAA to have 70 roster spots for 120 teams but Madden can only have 55 for 32 teams? If Madden had 70 spots you could have a functional IR and room leftover for Practice Squad.

Yeah unfortunately this is probably true. I'm still hold out tell it's confirmed or denied. Like it's been mentioned NCAA need tendencies more than Madden(which really they both are/were missing them badly.

I wouldn't be surprised to see NCAA include a single dedicated player type field in lieu of an array of tendencies. I.e "spread QB, pro style QB, read option QB, dual-threat QB, triple option QB" with each player type controlled by the AI a bit differently before ratings come into play at all.

Ahh...I think I know what that icon is under NFL Players.

For anyone who played Fifa this year, certain players had these white symbols with images in them. All it means is that the game registers if certain stats are over a certain threshold and then brands the player accordingly. e.g. Poacher, tireless engine, etc. They don't influence play IIRC, they're just a quick reference guide when you're playing as a player so you know what to expect from their abilities and how to play as them to maximise their impact.

tl;dr - it's weapons, but without actually juicing up the weapons beyond their stats. No clue if it influences AI (the tendencies may also tie into these)
