Re: Any guesses on the main "unannounced" feature?
Since my main areas are presentation and gameplay....I'm almost willing to bet this other "new feature" probably won't interest me much.
Looks like I'll have to wait another year to see what I'm waiting for. Which is Halftime and Weekly Wrap-up (done right).
I think its been confirmed this isn't it.In fact, what that HAD was removed. So we're going the other way on this.

Re: Any guesses on the main "unannounced" feature?
They haven't said anything about commentary yet, so maybe they spruced that up in a big way. God knows it needs it.
But I still think it's dynamic player performance. Frazier tweeted a few days ago it was the big thing they were gearing up to talk about at E3 to the judges.
I am going to guess no on this. Listening to the NCAA live stream, it seems like audio in NCAA is very similar to last year.
Also, I think it mentioned it was a game play featureComment

first person camera when controlling the QB
I wouldn't care for it but we're just guessing, right?Comment

Re: Any guesses on the main "unannounced" feature?
I'm pretty sure it will be something that those of us who follow the info releases closely will already be aware of. As several people have indicated DPP is the most likely as we don't really know how that will work yet.
I would be pretty surprised if online franchise will be identical to offline franchise, and while I would LOVE to hear that commentary has received a major overhaul, I think it would have come under presentation if I'm honest.
Out of curiosity, does the technology exist to make someone say anything based on all possible phonetic sounds? As in like Microsoft Sam, thats been around forever, could they not do something like that? Or is that still years away? Don't really know how advanced this sort of thing is!Comment

Online spectator modePSN-FORDTUFF504
NFL- SAINTS 49ers
NBA- HORNETS PACERS
NCAAF- MIAMI LSU
"IM SO UPTOWN AND IF U AIN'T MOTHA#$@ DONT GO UPTOWN, YEAH"
How often can the bug be reproduced? That's a question for the developers...I'm not testing this for them...Comment

Besides if you put a phonetic recognition and reconstruction device in it wouldn't affect much. It would work the same as the presentation now, with scripted comments. The only use would be for names, but even then you would have guys like Favre getting their names pronounced wrong (technically right actually lol). So it would be pronounced Fav-re instead of Farve.Comment

You could do it, but I'm assuming that it would take up a majority of the disk space. I don't know why they don't just make madden 2 disks lol. Although, I haven't the faintest clue on where the split would be. I would say move superstar to the other disk, but I've heard that it doesn't take much space at all.

Maybe some more presentation. I know 3d crowds are in, but how about 3d freaking benches? I hate the ugly generic players on the sideline that look like a PS1 game. Please put in 3d players, and I would love to have full rosters for the intro's too.
I don't care if they are accurate or not (if you see a 93 and you don't have a 93 on your roster), but just showing 15 or so guys rush the field is lame, just add a whole bunch of random sizes and numbers to the mix and it'll look better.
Plus, then it would be awesome to carry that over so even though you have random players that might not be accurate, the actual stars/starters you do see in the regular intro's would be on the sideline, and seeing them talking to coaches or whatnot would add to the presentation.
Also, would really enjoy it if you're taking a kneel that the guy can just end there. If it's under 40 seconds, your opponent has no time outs, and your winning, I wish there was an "end game" option. That way, you could select it and then they'd show a broadcast camera of the play, then the players shaking hands and coaches meeting. Would be an awesome addition and way better then just having to sit there waiting for the clock to run down lol.Comment

So that almost certainly makes this the "unannounced" gameplay feature the article was referring to. This is still great news though because not all players will have player roles but ALL players will have dynamic performance in the form ofconsistency and confidence.Comment

The ability to do backflips with the running back or phase through people using magically powers
But on a serious note, it'll probably be something basic but sort of over marketed. Hopefully is a revamped passing system but who knows.Comment

Come on! You guys don't really know? It is..... of course..... Madden Zombie Mode. I mean come on, what game doesn't have zombies now? It was inevitable that madden would do it. Just imagine the commentary.

Re: Any guesses on the main "unannounced" feature?
After going back and reading the EA blog release schedule, I think this is right. The official release date for Dynamic Player performance is June 6 and the caption says; Dynamic Player Performance is an all-new feature that creates unprecedented realism as a player’s skills and confidence will rise and fall based on his performance throughout a game or in Franchise mode, just like the real NFL. No two players will play the same in Madden NFL 12, and more details will be revealed at the E3 Expo on June 6.

This is still great news though because not all players will have player roles but ALL players will have dynamic performance in the form ofconsistency and confidence.PATS CELTICS SHARKS USC NEVADAComment
