Madden NFL 12 Demo Available Now, Post Impressions Here (360, PS3)

Welp I played one game as GB on All-Pro. Not impressed.

1. The animations are horrible. When QB's throw the ball, as they wind up, the ball actually leaves their hands and ends up on their KNUCKLES, then back in their hand, then the ball is in mid-air before the forward motion completes. Explain to me how this gets by QA?

2. The game feels more arcadish than previous years.

3. I kicked a FG and it was good, but I didn't get 3 points, I got no points.

4. I threw a long pass to Jennings on a streak route, and he didn't even turn around to look for the ball. Not only that but the ball MORPH'd through his back and into his hands.

Thats enough for me to decide on my purchase. I understand Franchise mode got an overhaul this year, but if the gameplay and animations are bad then it kinda makes it pointless.

yeah right I don't believe that I played the demo about t20 times haven't seen snubbing that ridiculous. I think you guys over exaggerate somethings.

has anyone else in Germany had problems downloading this?
Got home late yesterday and it took over 200minutes so I couldn't play because I had to get up early -.-

From the US store? It only took me like 10 minutes to download last night around 10:30 CET.

For people with both system demos is there a big difference in graphics like NCAA has?

I have not gotten Madden in a few years but after playing the demo I think that might change. Presentation is the biggest thing for me for a sports game and in this game the graphics and presentation is awesome.

Does the demo not give you the option of hot routing receivers or changing their blocking assignments ?

Has anyone else noticed this?

I want to know what kind of penalties you are all seeing? So far I've seen less than one penalty per game, and I've only seen Holding, Encroachment, Clipping and one Roughing the Passer penalty.

I haven't seen any interferences penalties being called, despite numerous incidents - most noticeably on one play where Woodson hit Hester in the chest with his knee.

Overall I think the game is pretty good, I like the graphics and play control. The only thing I wish they work on is a Pregame,halftime, and post game show that will show highlights from around the league.I know it can be done because remember way back in the day on madden 93 you had live look in on other games that were in overtime or a last minute fg. Of course ea has not caught up with 2k5 highlight show that was made in 2004. You have the espn and nfl network use it. Day 1 purchase for me.

weird, it was the same time for me. took ages so I let it download and turn itself off after completion.

I normally have a very fast internet connection..but sometimes it slows down

Anyway should be there now so I can't wait to get off work!

Hot routing I know is in the demo I cant remeber what direction it is on the dpad but its there.

So the defensive pass interference was only due to user input? I've played around 12-13 games so far, but haven't seen any yet - think I've seen around 6 or 7 penalties in total.

Now I don't control defensive backs nor receivers, so I don't cause any interference penalties myself. And from what I've seen in the demo, the AI seems be incapable of getting called for an interference penalty

This is just my opinion, nothing factual (with the exception of a few things). I'd really appreciate feedback (my 1st video). I know it ran kinda long. . . a lot to discuss. Hope this is informative, just discussing some issues/much discussed topics with the game. I'm not trying to say I'm for or against this game, and I'm certainly not trying to sway people one way or another. That being said I hope you all enjoy!

The qb is fast in demo because the game speed is to high. Very slow solves all.

It's a 2 month pre alpha demo. No need for 15 demo review.
