Basically, when the game's 0-0 I'm still interested as to what might happen, when it's 21-0 I get bored of playing and if it's 30-30 I just lose immersion as it seems ridiculous even though I know that kind of thing happens sometimes.
Well I'm a HUGE football fan and a HUGE sim player so I want the stats and the ratings to matter, I DON'T want an 80 speed LB catching up to a 90 speed HB...

Get what I'm saying? I see your approach, as I love defense as well, but come on the whole game gets out of whack when you've got Rodgers catching a Bears CB on a potential pick 6.

For me, stats/ratings> defensive game any day of the week.

I have not tried slow yet. The NFL is about speed so I don't play on slow. The thing that bothers me is the psychic defenders and how the ball is short on some deep passes.Called an audible. Had steps on the defender. Rogers pass was short and the ball on replay suddenly drops the defender swats it way. . Its like its built into the programming. I saw Rogers play in Atlanta and his passes are not short . That is trash EA and not what I see on Sunday. Slants are almost automatic. I like the running game . The hits on the quarterback are unrealistic. No QB can take that much punishment. I think its better than Madden 11. First day purchase? NCAA 12 has scared me so I cant trust it

Try slow, a lot less psychic DB's and LB's on slow/very slow

watching the other team walk up with different camera angles is cool and don't remove that next yr for sure, but there is no time to pick your player and make adjustments before the snap i think it is turbo hiking for the cpu ai not enough motion run and probably every team hikes the ball at the same amount of time there is no tempo so with that being said maybe madden logic can remember something useful instead of how many people play online or the times.

how about if i call xwz play and pick my mlb and bring the safety up that the next time i call that same play it will make all the same adjustments from memory and ask me if i would like to do so if i say no then i can make other adjustments.

or give us 5 options to do on every play and we pick just one number to do everything we want. something has to be done you do not represent time clock and play clock management true to the game not every team gonna hike the ball for what ever reason there is alot of variables like getting the play late, score or recent injury or your team is just plain tired. tempo needs to be tweaked to sim style.

ok, got to play a few games over the week end.
Really like what I'm seeing, feels much better and more realistic.

I'm playing on all pro & very slow which feels the best.

everything seems pretty good but CPU hasn't got a chance in the run game against me for some reason, I guess sliders will have to fix that (which is annoying in a way).

Two things I did NOT like:

why can't EA fix the kicking sound at kick offs? the sound of the boot hitting the ball is always delayed..terrible

atmosphere is a bit too silent when the away team makes a play or scores..

anyway, can't wait for the game

Anyone knows if the release version will has the "in-game save" ?
I will buy madden only with this feature present. I have no time to play a full game, even with 5 min. quarters. can play only 20-25 min. twice a day!
              really need the in-game save!
              P.S. ncaa 12 has it?

Would like to say I WISH I NEVER LISTENED TO PEOPLE, instead of just trying the game out properly myself.

fsr i believed that playing on slow/very slow was the way to go. Was getting smashed easily on all madden (yes i know its hard but it was crazy).

Last night played on the default settings on all madden (normal speed and 50 speed).

Wow what a game. 14-14 head into overtime.

                    Really enjoyable.

                    Roll on the full game.

Had to move this, because the Youtube user temporarily deleted this video.

Just in case you're worried the game hasn't improved since the demo. Part of this video I got from K0ACHK a few minutes ago is from E3( multi-colored tv's,Packers game at beginning, Rams at end) The other part of it is from the end of July showcase event in NYC. I think the game looks pretty good if you ask me. What do you guys think of this?

been playing the demo on and off... at first i didnt like it but im coming around now that ive gotten use to the speed and gameplay logic. this game is alot smarter than 11. some of the unnecessary hard hits bother me a bit, and im hoping the tune that down for teh retail verson...
I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...

Had a good amount of time to mess with the demo as well. Playing it on and off. This game is jeckyl and hyde to me. But what else is new. This year is particularly frustrating though because I think EA made strides in the right direction. It has more of a 2k and realistic feel to it at times, the graphics can realy pop, but then I'm reminded I'm playing Madden and scripted dry madden gameplay at the same time. Player interaction is better, but a lot of the same issues remain. I did see a hail mary completed and then a blocked fg right after each other. That's teh first time I've ever seen that in madden. But the fact it took this long and I will probably never see it again is another story. I saw a really nice stuff by Urlacher in the hole and the animation was sweet. Same with a sack by Peppers where he made a really nice swim move animation and came in for the sack. The cpu is still money on fg kicks. Blocking on returns is still very scripted and meh. I still see DB's suddenly get stupid and receivers separate from the unrealistically. I dont know how to explain it. When I play nba 2k11 it just feels like things happen the way they should. Madden still feels limited and dry at times. I returned a fumble with Sam Adams and he was outrunning players he never should be. It didn't really give me that feeling I was running with Sam Adams.. The presentation is good and 2k like but the fact we are in 2011 and I'm hoping we can get to that level vs omg this is so much better, and I'm kind of having to convince myself this is like that is kind of sad.

The game is good. it's mroe sim than years past. Certain defenses and coverages are very horky still though. I want to call a defense where I blitz 2. Then the next play I want to come out and blitz one and it's not as simple as it should be. I call this one defense that has one player blitzing. The graphic shows the player blitzing from the right side. But for some reason he walks over and lines up on the left side then tries to run around to the right side when he's lined up on the left side. The cpu runs a draw to the right side and where i was planning to have my defender set up blitzing which would have stuffed him, he's pursuing from the left side and gets burnt on the draw for a touch down. That stuff just should not be. I should be able to call a simple defense where i'm blitzing 2, then blitz 1. Then blitz 3 if i want. Or blitz none. And not have to jerk around having players lining up in the wrong positions and trying to cycle through them trying to get them in the right spots.

Plus the fact there isn't a man defense with 4 down lineman that has one player blitzing. Or a simple zone.

The blocking AI is better but it still can feel pretty dumb during the running game where they just flat out miss assignments.

This game feels so fresh to me. I am so pumped for this game. The tackling is great, and the kicking meter/camera view is fantastic. Game plan is pure genius. I really like how you can now choose to pick from a run or pass play as well. Lets just say this, I have been playing the best football game to date the last week and it has only been a demo. I am going to enjoy the heck out of this game.

I really like the demo this year. It feels like such an upgrade from Madden 11.

                              Pros:
                              Better zone defense
                              Improved physics-based tackling
                              Consecutive hit tackles
                              New kicking meter
                              Ball physics
                              Presentation

                              Cons:
                              Needs more DB/WR interaction
                              QB moves too fast
Must wait for receiver to run route before passing
                              No pass interference
                              Too easy to block kicks

About my last con, it seems blocking kicks happens at an unrealistic rate. I blocked two extra points in one game. I also have had a field goal blocked and blocked one myself. I only played about 8 games.

Also, the coin toss seems to always be tails. Maybe a glitch?
