Re: The Little Things (Missed).......
Everything about the play by play has been stated so im just going to second it. As far as the little things I want a chess match aspect of football back! Every now and then I get a real exciting game in and then I go 2 or 3 games where I feel im just picking plays for no rhyme or reason. Its hard to explain but it doesnt feel like im trying to outsmart the defense or offense it just feels like im selecting a play off of what I ran previously if that makes sense.
The penalties are a must! Its just so vital to the game. Most bad teams are bad because they make the most mistakes. So you have a team like lets say the Raiders who have decent players but just have mental breakdowns at the wrong time due to lack of descipline. It can be reflected by false starts and holding calls but pass interference and illegal man down feild or just as important.
Player movement is much improved and its alot I like but it gets overshadowed by a lack of true interaction. This and commentary are the biggest problems in the little things to me. People problem with Madden is all the easy picks dropped. Well that can be rectified with having the reciever intrract in a way of becoming the devender and knocking the ball away or grabbing the arm of the defender. I also would like to have a true throw away button for when your in the pocket. Many times a Qb is in the pocket and has no one to throw to but either cant run or is not a scrambler so they just overthrow the ball out of bounds or the back of the endzone.
