It does make sense that it wasn't supposed to be released... I think they'll get it better - I hope they will. If not, then it is what it is.

It's gotta be old because they don't have the new scoreboards up in the video. But they still have to do better with the audio. Couldn't really hear the crowd and the commentators sound robotic. I don't understand what's so hard about this??? UFC 3, NBA 2k, and MLB the Show have all pretty much mastered this. Are they putting a patent on on their secrets or something?

I'm not sure exactly how old it is, but yeah it's definitely old. They show V-Jax on the Chargers still. I think Phil Simms sounds very natural like in real life during the play by play and analysis, it's just Nantz that sounds off to me, but hopefully it's just because they were still stitching his lines together and figuring out how to put it all together.

And another thing... PLEASE STOP WITH THE GENERIC COMMENTARY. The intro for rivalry games is way to generic. You can basically copy and paste that Cowboys vs. Eagles intro for any division game. Why not mention the team that won the last meeting and what they can do to either win again or what the losing team can do to win this time around (franchise mode).

There have been some clips where it talks about specific things, one was about Rodgers vs Roethlisberger and during another clip I saw, Nantz talked about how both teams were coming off of a loss last week. Also during the behind the scenes video you heard things like, what a disappointing way for their season to end today in this wild card game, or they'll advance to the divisional round next week, they never were able to recover from the loss of their star running back. Little stuff like that was heard throughout the video.

Thanks for that info... I hope they really utilize it well for the franchise mode. Man they should give you a game for free or something because you've been updating the community on information like crazy.

My parents are in Europe the next week or so and we work together for an insurance company so while they're gone I'm not doing much work wise. I don't have much else to do and I like Madden and enjoy watching the development process almost as much as playing the game. Just wait till E3 I'll be posting vids like crazy lol

I keep going back, looking at the video and I just don't see what's so turrible about it. I went back and looked at some video of M10 commentary and it had player names but was far worse, imo. We all know how crazy and buggy M12 commentary was, so I just don't get what people are bugging about but that's just me.

I like the way they seem to realize what's actually happening on the field, as it happens and there doesn't seem to be AS MANY awkward silences. I don't agree, even from these small samples, that it's just more of the same or nothing seems to be done. What are people comparing it to, NBA2k and The Show, do they reasonably expect after M12, for M13's commentary to be on that level?

That said, I don't focus on commentary that much anyway and didn't even feel the urge to turn off M12's, even though it was noticeably bad.

I agree, don't know why they showed it.

I do know that after the video cast, Chase came in and posted they didn't showcase gameplay with commentary for the video cast for obvious reasons. ie, June 4th

Maybe he made that comment because of how people would react, like in this very thread, lol.

I just don't understand why 2k,EA always put out videos of game play and then say (Oh it's an older version) I mean why even put the video out then if it's that old and will be nothing like the final retail version...I mean Ive never understood why show videos that might hurt your sells not help them...As for Jim and Phil I think I said this before but I believe they are going to do a great job 100% times better than what we had in years past.

I apologize if this was already mentioned, but one thing I noticed is I think they took out the signature QB throwing styles. Rivers does not side arm throw in these videos, Vicks doesnt look right either. I know this is a very small detail and most guys probably wouldnt even care, but this is a KILLER for me if they took those out. The small details make bugs and glitches easier to deal with for me. I hope these werent taken out of the game......

1 more thing.....Ian Cummings if u still visit this 1 is for you........

I remember when he 1st took over...late in the Dev cycle for M9.....just after that release he asked for some wish-lists suggestions......he complied the list based on us and posted what *he thought* should be good starting point.....I distinctly recall within that post (perhaps followup post) saying (paraphrase here)..."and how cool would it be to hear T. Brady identify the Mike..."...welp......looks like it's finally getting in Ian. Nice bud!

I mean either way people are gonna comment, speculate and complain. Personally from a customer/fan viewpoint, I'd rather have footage instead of none.
