To lose NCAA importing as well as editing players would suck and really make me consider sitting this year out sticking with 12 and buying 14 for the ultimate upgrade so to speak lol

They always talk of the "madden curse", For me at least, its starting to look like an "odd numbered" madden curse. Madden 09 had a franchise freeze after a couple of season, madden 11 had chopped playbooks and even less defense, and now madden 13 is taking all of the features/control I really liked out. Like I mentioned above, madden 12 is looking more and more enticing. This might be the first madden I don't buy since madden 94 on the sega.

They need to at least give us control of editing equipment inside CC. That's just cruel if they don't.

Lol I didn't even bother to buy madden 11 when I heard franchise wasn't going to get any love that yr. This gen has been rough for the fans of career modes but based on the strides made this yr Madden 14's career modes are prob finally going to be we've been dreaming about so we have that to look forward too.

I tweeted to Justin Dewiel and he replied back with that. He is the community manager for both madden and ncaa. I wont be buying Madden. How can you strip away offline franchise mode and the ability to import the draft classes. This has been a huge reason I have been a Madden player for years. Being able to play NCAA and then import the REAL draft class into Madden was huge. Who want to play with a fake CB name John Joe?? Or whatever. Looks like only NCAA for me this year..SMDH"

Good FFing Lord.........It is always fffing something.....there always 2 or 3 things that EA does with this game that just completely pisses off the hardcore sports gamer and tries your patience

I so wanted to be fully happy about the game this year, but here we are again....

Imagine in the next Forza and Gran Turismo they decide to take out the ability to create custom setups and paint schemes

Wow it just keeps getting worse and worse and for me this one is a deal breaker. Looks like no football for me this year. Very sad day especially in contrast to what a great day Monday was with the big announcement, but now it's clear they really needed another year of development before adding this mode. I mean this is very basic stuff we're talking about that every sports game in this day and age needs to have included. Very very sad.

Exactly...Those games along with madden/ncaa have probably made up 90% of my video gaming the past decade and a half. I couldn't imagine not being able to tune/setup my cars on Forza or GT.

The cynic in me says that the hook this year to buy the game is the all new infinity engine and the hook next year will be you guessed it an improved CC with the bility to edit players and control all teams..EA has to constantly be two steps ahead and think of the future to ensure sales...But everyone has a choice to buy or not to buy cant say we arent informed..

This is very disappointing to read especially after getting hyped for the new story lines and progression systems etc , I just hope we can still edit b4 entering CCM. And create missing players ? Please say I can still just call plays and do 'coach mode' as in previous years, I know that's not everybodys idea of fun but its been how I've enjoyed the game for years now and I'm too old to develop 'stick skills'

I don't even think its that what it seems like is they wanted to build a good online career mode first and any features that weren't relevant to the online aspect of CC (team control imports edits etc) we're made low priority.

I know its not the reality we live in, but since there is no competition for the most popular team sport in america...They can take these chances with little risk. After all, if we want our favorite NFL teams there is only one game in town. I couldn't imagine the Madden or NFL 2k we would currently have if the exclusive contract didn't exist.
