Amen to that bro...CC is unproven so we have no clue what to expect but im betting the incoming players will yet again be all jacked up appearance/equipment wise...hooray for infinity but shame on EA and josh looman whatever his name is for pushin CC on us before it was ready ...and if all of our options are never going to be brought back or cant be used in CC....then they better bring back franchise mode for 2014...simple as that

Personally I do have high hopes for the future of CC and logically as a 'layman' in software terms I don't see why the missing things can't be integrated with the exception of NCAA importing( draft storylines?).
However I agree on it being rushed in whilst not ready, who made that decision I couldn't say but I'd guess they felt they had to upgrade online franchise somehow after it has been neglected and CC does do that well, as it does SS mode, shame they couldn't find a way to keep a seperate offline mode until CC was in a state to fully replace it, my opinion for what its worth?

Re: Madden NFL 13 Roster Editing Issue Rears Its Ugly Head

When it was first announced about connected careers everyone was pumped for it....what a genius idea but by removing the edit function it has taken just as much away from the game.

To me it only makes sense if we can be assured of the following

        1) Accurate ratings of all players. As an example in Madden 12 Shane Vereen and Taylor Price had very low speed ratings when in fact they are very fast players (i am sure others have examples) By allowing us to edit this we can ensure we have the most accurate rosters in the middle of a franchise. One of the great things said about connected careers is that there is no need to go back to start over a franchise. Well unless we can guarantee accurate ratings then we would have to start the CC all over again following a global madden roster update

        2) when i play madden 12 some of the rookies come into the game with no gloves, wristbands etc. No player except Dallas clark does not wear gloves, why cant we update what equipment our players wear?? Are we sure that they know what Andrew Luck and RG3 will be wearing?...i dont want to wait till the first roster update and then have to restart by CC thereby going against excactly what was said about CC

        3) as above with the expanded rosters in Madden 12 i sometimes get duplicated numbers for linebackers and D-line. In fact one time i had a rookie OLB who was No.1 - how can it be gauranteed this wont happen?

All of the above and many more issues were simple resolved by the edit function. We dont expect the game to be able to represent all the thousands of players in the NFL accurately that is why the edit function worked. If you do persist with leaving the edit function out then they must guarantee a perfect roster

please rectify this ridiculous short sited omission

Holy crap. You should have your own Lifetime movie with how well you play the victim.

It's not "taking our lashes and asking for more". It's the fact that I'm playing a football game, and I play games to have fun, not to analyze what pair of shoes a player is wearing. And while I respect opinions, I in no way respect a post that is just dripping with condescension towards people who don't see it your way.

There's a lot of irony in your post, when you're trying to complain about how the opposite side treats you and in doing so you do your best to belittle those same people.

See, that's what I'm talking about. Why should anyone care about your opinion when you can't communicate it without intentionally trying to be abrasive? Your point becomes lost in the fray.

The post in question was hyperbolic to an extreme. I wasn't belittling him - he was in fact playing the victim card. It was ludicrous and completely unnecessary. There are a whole lot of people who are unhappy about some of the missing items who post clear and concise points without having to go to the level of claiming that those who disagree feel they're the scourge of the earth and shouldn't be on OS.

If nothing else, he's inciting the trolls that disagree with him while insulting the people who disagree, like some who agree with him, in clear and concise ways.

CC is Good in theory, but the reasons the devs give for leaving out features is what is troubling. There are many examples, but the one that gets me is they want a realistic sim... Yet since you can't import draft classes, you have to create a player to enter the league, but you have to pick the team they play on? How is that realistic? Or.. If schemes are the issue with edited rosters, how does your cp fit for the scheme of the team you pick? Shouldn't there be a draft where the team that fits your cp picks you?, like nba 2k?.. Can someone explain?

they have said that time is the reason for leaving out those features. the features(editing, multi team control, and fantasy draft were not priorities. draft classes were so broken that they needed to be taken out and brought back in after time had been taken to make them work properly. people have speculated many reasons that things are not back but time is really the main reason.

allowing editing to a mode that has been completely rebuilt from the ground up takes a lot of QA time. that time is better suited for making CC as bug free as possible. after that is done then adding non core functionality features becomes much easier.

                        Noneal..
Doesn't matter. How is it realistic when you create a player, then you are forced to put him on whatever team you choose? Editing rosters should be allowed no matter what, and how anyone chooses to play the game, an if I used the same excuses as madden devs did when questioned about flaws, id get fired. Spend your money, be disappointed, and I'll see you back here Bout a year from now. It's going be crap. The rtp isn't ready, and they screwed real fans.

It was done that way because you can create a player at any time. you can start as a coach play 2 weeks and then create a player. it would be weird and totally unrealistic if you were drafted at that point. they could have you randomly placed on a team with no reasoning to it, but then people would complain about that too. the way they did it was the only logical way to do it.

I never said i was against editing in or outside of CC. I actually posted it as an idea on the gamechangers site as soon as the word came out that it was not in.

how were they answering so bad that would warrant firing?

                            Man,
No disrespect, but really don't understand what you are saying? I did not say anyone should be fired, we haven't even played the game yet, I said if I used the same logic to explain a situation where a major lapse in what our clients are used to, at my job, was taken away. I'd be fired. When you are the head of a dev team, and you promote your new "features" as groundbreaking, you damn well better to be able to explain why your features are worth changing the way the game had been played for years. I do not think they have done an adequate job of that. Please tell me how they have?

Aside from that, ea stock has dropped drastically for the past 12 months, the video game industry is struggling, and the whole economy is about to burst, so from an economic standpoint, please explain how isolating a large part of your target fan base makes sense? There will be a decline in overall sales, again, for madden. why stand up for them? This Is their attempt to use a big franchise and make it more profitable, by making more online friendly, , instead of making the game more enjoyable. The sooner you realize that bro, they do not care about anything, but their bottom line, the better off you will be.

no you dont say that they should be fired but you insinuated it. why else say you would be fired from your job for saying what they have been saying?

online doesn't make them more money. they actually spend more money to support their online game modes. add that to the fact that more people play offline than online doesn't show it to be more profitable in any way. how is it helping their bottom line to make a game that only caters to a smaller customer base, and require money and people to keep their servers running?

First, Because "we didnt have enough time" does not cut it in real business. Good luck, if you think it does. Second, if what you say is that the "offline" consumer is the majority of their consumer base, then they are really screwed, bc that is where the majority of features have been removed.

Should I post you a link of what ea stock, and madden sales trends have been? Bc it's not good. But maybe you and your optimism can turn It all around.. Your about to waste your money on a 1/2 a.. Release.
