So you only have one choice of house? Did EA buy some exclusive housing license too?

Ok fine I will modify it a little you buy a house and it is in a home owner's assoiation where you can't have a pool or fly the american flag. Small things to some but big to others. I like the location and I spent $100,000 on the house, so I should do what ever I want right?? But that isn't the case.

You're examples are just plain bad. Why do people insist on trying to use completely unrelated things like homes and cars that have absolutely no significance in this discussion?

You mean there aren't other football games out there you are forced to buy Madden 13???

If I remember there are other football games out there like Backbreaker, APF 2K8, and even Madden 12 that has those features everyone wants. So what your saying is you want your cake and eat it to is what it sounds like. There are times when sacrafices must be made.

Just like in my example if I really want that location and house, I will have to follow the home owners assosiation if I don't want to I make sacrafices and go somewhere else. Just like in Madden 13 go to one of the other football games that have been out that have the features you want.

That's exactly the point of that argument. When buying a house, I will have choices of house, and I will then have choices of features and options within the house. With Madden, it is the only "house" available, and within that "house" we get limited/decided by others features and options from year to year.

The only legitimate argument is that I can buy or not. Of course, then the argument becomes whether or not sales make up what percentage or will or won't make a difference.

It's the only new option available. There's a big difference between not having any other option and not having any new options. If there's something older that you feel doesn't limit your options, you have the option to play it. There are other options, whether you want to believe it or not.

It's not like Madden got the exclusive license and then confiscated and destroyed every football game ever made.

I have chose to just play Madden 10 & 12 another year. I have a feeling a lot of others will too. The point of this thread is it was a terrible choice for EA to remove editing. It will cost them sales. I have bought Madden 01-12, and won't buy madden 13 until possibly thanksgiving sale ($29 usually). If not then, I will wait until 14 and hope they fix those terrible running animations, ice skating, and missing features.

RTP means very little when the game was so unpolished in the first place. It wasn't ready for another tech layer slapped on top of it IMO.

Still a bad example, it's more like you live in a Neighborhood that had everything you wanted, when there was this up and coming threat of development in that area. You were ok with the changes of the "Home owner's association" because they still gave you options and there were still other options.

There is no longer a threat of you moving, so now the "Home owner's association" has decided to make changes, and take away any of your options even the ability to paint your house, change the font of your curb side address, custom mailbox, and even what type of shades and curtains you have. You just got all of that last year and all of the sudden they lock you down...

You want to leave but you've been in this (house of yours) for 20 years minus vacation time....I'm gonna leave it there even though I could go deeper but it's not necessary to show your example needs further adjusting or a broader aspect from which to make a point of view.

Yes, that I don't understand. After hearing the editing options had been removed this year, it took me all of 10 seconds to come to terms with the fact I'd be playing Madden 12 if I want a football fix in September. This hand-wringing has been going on for days, some people really need to let this go, holy mackerel.

Like I've said. I'm fine with NCAA 13. This year. I can modify what I want. Create teams etc. there are enough improvements to make me happy.

With a new engine in madden and a new mode that is at the mercy of the CPU for 31 teams spells really one sure fire guarantee..... Bugs, glitches and a whole new amount of stuff that will be an issue.

Of course I haven't played it much like 99% of others who haven't played it. I just foresee madden 06 all over again.

The reasons for the questionable omissions is that they caused crashes and other problems... Thats just a huge red flag for me.

And I'm only basing this off of EAs track record.

Curious to see how CC fairs come oct/nov and if this " revolutionary" new mode actually... You know... Works.

It's a forum, for discussing the game, and people are bringing up legitimate issues. They should. What's truly awful is using silly, insignificant, totally unrelated analogies to silence and defend some very questionable business practice's of removing features and re-adding them years later. This business practice has been happening far too long and NFL Football Video gaming has suffered for well over half a decade because of it.

It stopped being a discussion several days ago. Now it's the same few people, jumping into every possible thread and either complaining about the lack of editing options, or complaining about the overall game and its quality.
