Re: Official Madden 13 E3 Video Thread Part 3
Overall I like what I'm seeing. The one area that is kind of interesting/problematic is when a RB gets a hand off and is tackled or touched each and every tackle seems to knock them backwards or straight down. I'm not getting a sense of momentum when a RB is headed up field and makes impact...Should he not fight forward every now and then?...Does every tackle knock him backwards or into next week?...I'd like to see more RB's falling forward based on their momentum. Maybe its because the users aren't creating forward lean before impact.
The other weird thing is the QB animation on rollouts to the QB's non-throwing hand side or when the QB moves to that same side and attempts a throw. They need to clean that upLast edited by dat swag; 06-25-2012, 10:25 AM.Comment

Re: Official Madden 13 E3 Video Thread Part 3
AS a person who has played Madden since its inception I think its important to put this all in perspective..I was one of the most angry critical posters ever about the direction of Madden...and while it still hast vast improvements to make its the only game we have and as a die hard football guy my philosophy is you gotta take the game for what its worth and learn how to enjoy it.
I was once a Tourney guy who saw all the tom foolery and shenanigans and while I remained competitive on that level my commitment to "sim and keeping it real" never allowed me get into that top tier of ballers and that never bothered me because I'd rather lose every game keeping it sim than win on some BS unrealistic nonsense. Thats just me though and I respect the hardcore tourney dudes who are paper chasin.
These days I simply play online and have whittled my opponents down to people who enjoy the game from a perspective similar or close to mine...The games are fun, realistic and it helps me enjoy this game that we are all passionate about. I'm excited about this iteration of Madden and I look forward to it until my hands cramp and I can no longer play due to arthritis...and even then...Thank God for the Kinect!
BTW...for all you super critical dudes...The rude hateful comments are going to get you and the game nowhere. Try to be a more constructive in your criticism. The devs want your feedback but once the tone gets disrespectful and flagrant you get tuned out. Keep in mind these guys are working for us and they need your ideas and criticism to continue improvements. Rome was not built in a day hence Madden will always be a work in progressLast edited by dat swag; 06-25-2012, 10:40 AM.Comment

Im not too sure what you see at :59 but I definitely feel ya on 4:25.
The break tackle from AP is something i'm really happy to see in this game. A two man break tackle that wasnt a set animation involving all three players. That's what they've needed as players in the NFL often escape encounters with multiple defenders but in madden 12 it usually required a juke move to cause a player to slip and then a break tackle animation with the defender remaining, which was hard to come across. Great to see it happen simultaneously in this demo. Great spot mate.Comment

I really hope that what some of the community guys said was true, that they slowed down the gameplay and that there is next to no zig zag running. Because I just played Madden 11 for the first time in over a year and the difference in movement is pretty big.Comment

Good to hear. Sure they're an improvement over last years (which wasnt difficult in the slightest) but I remember back in the old maddens....im thinking....04/05 maybe, they had a variety of replays not just the one kind like last year. Anyone else remember if you made a massive hit there was that replay that split the screen horizontally in three parts to show the hit from different angles? Amazing that even the replays were better back in the day.Comment
