    Their opinions right?

If you're referring to the graphics being bad, I don't see how any opinion is an exaggeration. If one said they're great, I would understand because of the detail (I think the detail is exceptional), but if one said they are bad, I would understand, because of the player models speak for themselves IMO.

Thats fine but you're still missing the point. Lets say out of 10 points, 10 being great, the players right now are at a 7.

If EA were to focus a little bit more on the fans then that 7 would drop to a 5 lets say.

I dont want the fan graphics improving at the expense of the player graphics. Which is ultimately what would happen, EA said so themselves. So personally, and this may just be me, but I'd rather have the player graphics be the primary focus over fan graphics. Even if you don't like the player graphics, think of how much worse it would be if they focused more on fan graphics.

Well when 2K focused on sideline and fan graphics, their player models had decent detail, they just weren't shaped the best, but when you look at it, it doesn't look like it was because of the detail of the fans.

This isn't an opinion. EA flat out said that if they focused more on fan details then the player graphics would suffer.

I never said it was an opinion. I'm just saying, maybe Ian Cummings was stretching on some stuff. For example, he said RTP wouldn't be possible on this gen. Well, BB and M13 have it, so I assumed that he might have stretching on this too based on what I said with APF2K8.

If someone doesn't like the graphics that's fine but it's obvious that some people are using over-exaggerations to describe their opinions to get attention.

It's typical for this time of year on OS though

                      Really? Again?

It's all hearsay, they say, he said, she said, it's a dead beaten horse that's played out 1000 times.

Does it really matter in the priorities of life? Doesn't change a thing or history.

Straw, I don't think Ian said it was impossible, that's also stretching it a bit, as he knew that BB was coming out, he just didn't think ragdoll physics would come off looking good.

What mistake? The current exclusivity came about from the NFL. They went to various companies. They didn't focus only on EA.

That is a flat out mistruth. They could make everything look absolutely amazing but because of the current console's hardware limitations if they did that it would kill the frame rate and make the game nearly unplayable. So they compromise. We all realize there would be a slight decrease in quality of the player textures but the difference would be negligible.

It's like if you are washing a car and want to polish it but you only have so much polish left. You can either put 2 coats of polish only on the hood of the car (in Madden terms the players and what is on the field) and leave nothing for the rest, or you can put 1 coat on the entire car and have a much nicer looking car as a whole. EA has decided that the hood is the only important part of their car.

And it's not like Madden's player graphics are anything to write home about. No one can honestly look at all the games out there today like Skyrim, The Witcher 2, Batman Arkham City and tell me that Madden is pushing the envelope and really using the hardware to it's full potential with a straight face.

That's one thing I've always wondered. Does EA use a good graphical engine in their Madden games. I mean, even look their PS2 games. They always looked behind compared to some other good looking games at the time.

Yall complaining about graphics when the game still animates like a last gen game, lol. I'd rather them get the game moving somewhat authentic before worrying about coaches and player models.

You just stated that they would have to make the game have a lower framerate to make the game look a lot better. So yes, for them to keep the framerate the same while having better sidelines, the player models would have to take a hit.

The game is 60 FPS for gameplay purposes. Reducing the framerate just for the purpose of graphics would make the gameplay worse. You say that they are only focusing on "the hood" by not making improvements to the sidelines when that isn't true at all.
