Someone call the show and nba 2k. Apparently fantasy draft is unrealistic and is not what franchise mode is about. -
Re: Connected Careers vs Franchise Mode?
Considering my friends and I.. About 4-6 every year get down and make a fantasy draft league/teams and have so much fun with it... This a big let down, with gameplay being awesome, I'm very sad lol looks like we will be waiting another year to play some football. I may sound picky, but that's all my friends an I have done with madden since the ps2 days. They could of added a carbon copy of madden 12s fantasy draft and I'd be happy, seems so pointless to take out. Not everyone plays online or even WANT to play online. I personally can't stand itMLB-NYY

Re: Connected Careers vs Franchise Mode?
Whilst some of the features of CCM if working correctly are appealing particularly the mode of progression and the scheme determined ratings the lack of any means of over riding the AI of CPU controlled teams or any form of roster customisation leads me to prefer the old franchise mode
For those people wishing to participate in online leagues these issues will be in the most part negated however anybody who like myself wishes to play alone and is interested in replicating an authentic NFL season mimicking reality rather than participating in an NFL based RPG will find the total innability to do so within this mode frutrating in the extreme
Heightening this frustration is the inability of EA to provide accurate rosters (the opening week roster announced has at least 6 missing players from the 53s just off the top of my head )
It does appear to me that those in charge at EA just don't get that many want authenticity over RPG gaming and don't want to go online or compete in unsuitable leagues but to enjoy the game in our way however that may be
It also concerns me that 12 months ago a certain mr Looman was stating how he was aware of how important many people felt control of our own experience viia editing etc was whilst busy working on CCM which offers no such contol SMHComment

The only thing I dislike is the missing franchise mode. No fantasy is fine, but I want to be able to control multiple teams with my buddies.Commish of Red Zone Football League - Minnesota Vikings

Franchise mode.
Connected Careers is seriously the worst career mode I've played. Maybe I'm not playing it right, but I don't see the appeal at all. It feels like a step back. I often consider it to be WHY Madden won't be realistic anytime soon. The only thing keeping it enjoyable somewhat is the twitter feed, when it makes sense.Comment
