Re: Reasonable expectations for first patch of Madden 13

Hopefully they patch for fix each teams playbook gameplan so that they wont all play alike and try to run the ball almost everydown. Someone in another thread mentioned how all of the teams play just alike - low amount of passes, trying to run the ball to much and how in each teams playbook gameplan that all of the teams are set up just alike.

On the other hand, they reason the may have held back the CCM roster update to "early this week" because they're anticipating the patch to be certified by Wednesday at the latest? Regardless, all this speculation is making my head spin. I just hope they fix the the overtime rules bug and the assisted tackles tracking.

This and fixing the number of plays run in simulated games should be very easy to fix. EA is aware of both issues so I guess it just depends on how lazy they are.
        GO FALCONS!

If they would kindly come out and say what there going to fix & when. BTW please update the CCM# roster this is inzane i can't edit or choose what rosters to start my CCM so now i have to wait on you EA , after i paid for this game disc... as a customer i am not very happy with how EA has handle it.
The update includes a new "instant start option" when creating your player in Connected Careers, numerous stability fixes, and GameFace improvements. "No uniforms corrections? Game freezing on the depth chart menu, lol

If I could put a created player in my Coach CCM, as well as edit the equipment and number of players in CCM this game would be one of my favorites since the PS2. It's baffling to me how anyone thought it would be okay to take these features out...

Game face improvements is pretty reasonable... isn't it?

The first patch doesn't look promising. Stability issues and gameface fixes doesn't seem exciting to me.

Laugh out loud, there isn't anything coming guys. No patch for a long long time I guarantee it.

Re: Reasonable expectations for first patch of Madden 13

Since none of this will get addressed for the first one, here's my thoughts for patch two, lol:

I agree with a lot of things said here through about page 5 (didn't read the rest). I think player regression needs to be addressed because younger players never get a chance to play and progress because nobody regresses if they meet low-end goals. Age should play a much bigger factor.

That brings me to another point. Goals and XP are completely broken. I don't throw that around lightly. People say one thing or another is broken when it's just an annoyance. This is literally broken. Both season and weekly, especially for backups. Backup quarterbacks have the same goals as the starter. Minimum goals for a QB is 3000 yards just to not regress? Seriously? OL goals take like 3600 team passing yards or 2000 rushing as a minimum?!

5th string WRs have a minimum of 50/60 catches to not regress? And why is it even catches? It should be receiving yards for most receivers. Maybe all-purpose yards. Some WRs might not play offense but do returns. Possession receivers maybe have catches, red zone receivers maybe goals of 4/6/8 TDs.

Stats should give more XP by themselves rather than JUST weekly goals. Say a guy has a goal for 1 sack for the week. He gets no sacks but gets 14 tackles. Does he get ANY XP for that? He certainly should. Goals should just be bonuses, not the main way of progressing. You shouldn't have to meta-game to progress. I hope they address this for Madden 14 and give a lot more thought to progression/regression and give young players some way to still progress more than 1 point or something without having to be on the field. That's just not realistic.

Oh I found another thing wrong with superstar. I got us a td with 1:11 left in the game putting my team up 29-23. Then I simed until player control. The kickoff was a no return but somehow 15 seconds came off the clock. Then they got miracal 80 yard td the first play. I was fine with that, but somehow during that 80 yard td 53 seconds drained off the clock, leaving me with 3 seconds to get the win (unfortunately they kept me out of the last play) I want to know how they (EA) could justify a minute coming off the clock during a single play. It's sad that that is probably the most far fetched of my ideas to help the game.

It's out on 360, not on PS3 yet. Patches aren't tied to PSN store publishes, so it could be up anytime today. No official time given.
