If you looked on this board from previous years (not sure if that's possible), "consumers" complained that EA changed very little concerning, if anything, in their franchise mode.

I would have preferred they either refined, enhanced 12's franchise to include more Head Coach type features, or if they replace, then finish the CC mode so that it included all the missing 12 madden franchise features. Either would have been fine with me.

Like you, I wasn't really looking for sweeping changes with the franchise mode, just tweaks. Me personally, I like CCM. It looks great. Best franchise mode in years. The one thing that bugs the heck out of me is the schemes. It's a great idea that should make people think before trying to sign and trade for players, BUT I do not think players already on the roster should have their ratings dropped. That is my only big issue and then the minor issue of my custom playbook in CCM. Otherwise, I like it

Fix the bugs, and include all the missing features, and I end up liking CC.

Don't you agree, though, that most consumers should or do their due diligence and research before they buy?

There's enough research and try before you buys out there for the consumer.

Plus, it's hard enough to know what other people's shopping methods are, let alone keep track our own.

How would anyone really know what questions to ask? Why would someone ask about Roster Editing when it's been in the game for decades? When you research, do you have a list of 1000 comprehensive questions delving into every aspect of the game? You listen to what is new, and assume significant features have not been removed. I pretty much assume that Air Bags come with new cars. Why would I ask about Air Bags? I assume a car has door locks. I don't ask the dealership if the car has any door locks.

If a car today comes without Air Bags or Door Locks, it should be listed ON THE CAR for everyone to see.

I think we're nearing "misunderstanding" mode, and in my case, misdirecting frustration. I know you dude. We don't always agree, in fact probably rarely lol, but you've never been the type to bring conflict to a disagreement. So I guess I'm not so much directing my frustration towards you, as just venting it at you lol. So my bad for that.

No, you're not alone. CCM is incredibly scripted. It is so scripted that the CPU tries to make roster moves for me to play out their scripted twitter stories, by constantly putting my players on the trading block without input from me, and automatically putting them back on the trading block when I take them off, all because it's supposed to play out a story. :facepalm:

I have a very hard time believing this. Can anyone verify this. If true, this is really bad unless it's a Superstar mode.

Yea, like I've said before, at some point features become so basic that they become "standard", and are no longer a feature. Player editing has been a "standard" in virtually every sports game (including Madden) for a decade now. There are just certain expectations that come with the product. This year, EA did not meet those expectations. They didn't deliver the "standards".

For some people, they don't need those "standards" so they aren't missed. For those people, that's awesome that they get to enjoy the game.

But for some of us, those "standards" were fundamental to our enjoyment of the game. And they are expected to be there. Now they are not, and not only is our enjoyment now hampered, but it is just a straight up regression on Tiburon's part to fall short on this.

I can verify this.

Every CCM that I start as coach of the 49ers, Delanie Walker is on my trading block. When I go to manually remove him, he re-appears on the trading block the following week, accompanied by all of the twitter remarks discussing how the 49ers are unhappy with Delanie Walker and want to move him.

There is, and I have them all set to manual. It's happened in multiple CC's for me.

The best part is THIS is what EA spent all their time on... creating a new and "improved" franchise mode. And they fall flat on their face. BRING BACK 2k FOOTBALL

When you buy a car, items listed are on the sticker. lol

How hard is to look at the sticker?

I don't know, you have people like bkrich, and others, who constantly go after anyone with a negative opinion, labeling them as "complainers". bkrich went so far as to call me a troll because I'm not happy about Connected Careers.

It makes it even worse when I had what I wanted out of a football game once, then it was eliminated by EA via exclusive licenses, and then later on I had the mode I wanted in Madden with Franchise Mode, and now EA eliminates it again.

EA has a habit of taking away what I want in NFL games, and forcing down my throat things I don't want. It's very frustrating that this is the only NFL game on the market for me to choose from when year in and year out, what I want is constantly ignored.

The sad part is I bet you really believe I called you out as a troll simply because you don't like the mode. Typical.

As far as not being happy about the product you spent your 60 bucks on, what's your complaint? You knew what was in the mode and what wasn't. You went so far as to pre-release to say you knew you weren't going to like the mode but were going to buy it anyway.

If you are buying something know ahead of time it wasn't going to meet your needs, not sure how much you can complain about not having the game be worth your 60 dollars.
