I'd like to see some new equipment put in the game. Why does RGIII have a single arm sleeve, yet I can't? -
Re: Madden NFL 13 Title Update #2 Arrives Tomorrow, Player Editing Still Being Explor
You obviously haven't had many games against guys who are flat out good and don't cheese and play like that.. I've played plenty of great gamers over the years who don't play like that and are good. Have you ever considered the fact that you might need to work on your game? Not trying to put you down or anything but the stuff you are complaining about on All-Madden sounds more like a USER issue besides the drop passes(sliders fix that issue).
I feel the same as the guy you are responding to. It is an insult to some of us who don't have to play like that against the CPU to have success on All-Madden.. I use a variety of plays on offense. I'm always in practice mode working on new things. Alot of gamers aren't willing to put in that kind of work. They want everything to be handed to them. I'll match my playcalling of different plays and execution up with anybody.. All-Madden really isn't that difficult if you are a good player who knows how to execute with any play..
I do disagree that dropped passes are the only thing thats wrong with All-Madden, as defensive tackles being run over by scat backs and linebackers being in the backfield on 80% of plays also happens in it. Its immaterial.
Please stop extending this based on a victim mentality. I've already said that I did not mean to infer that all people who play on all-madden are that way, only that a good number of them are that way and I do not see any way to actually do a sim style game on All-madden because of the unrealistic things I see happening in the games I play on that setting.
And for the record, no, I've never seen anyone online that plays a legit game that is able to beat me by enough to say "this guy could win on all-madden". Again, I said my experience, not that its truth.Comment

Re: Madden PATCH UPDATE #2 AVAILABLE TOMMOROW FOR XBOX AND PS3!!
You realize everything that is posted here is read by the team and taken into consideration right? I posted in response to the comment because it continues to come up and needed to be addressed. As for Farls and Gibs, those guys are literally brought in to find everything that they can at that time with the game. They don't hold anything back and the game is better because of it. I enjoy interacting with the community, so my posts won't stop. Regardless of the feedback, we're always listening.
For years, literally years, the game has shipped with awful line play and neutered defensive ends, and it never changes, that's one example, pass interference and the challenge system another, I could list MANY others, but I digress.
For tazdevil's trouble, (along with mine and many others) bringing up these issues is met with a chorus of:
It's just a game
No game is perfect
It's a step in the right direction
It's the first year of this/that feature
It's the first year of this dev team/that guy
I'm sure it will be better next patch/next year
And the whopper of all whoppers---
You have an agenda!!
As if such accusers can look into the minds of hearts of other anonymous posters on the internet. Such skill would be quite valuable if it were only true.
I have an agenda.
I want to play a great NFL football game, I don't care if EA makes it.
The EA brand USED to be magic, I was always excited to get any new EA sports game starting on the Genesis. I'm afraid they have stomped on my goodwill starting with Madden 06 this gen. The brand has been tarnished and I would like to see it return to it's former glory where I was thrilled to rip open an EA sports football game.
The resources are there, MILLIONS are spent on TV advertising alone, one less commercial a week on each station and EA could hire the best programmers on the planet for 10 times their current salary.
If we had the kind of attention to GAMEPLAY and detail as we do to branding, marketing, and advertising saturation, the game would be phenomenal and we wouldn't be asking 8 years later, please, pretty please can we have pass interference this year...
Fix the GAMEPLAY and everything else will follow. It seems that USED to be the way I viewed EA, they made the best sports games, and I bought all the games even if I wasn't a big fan of the sport.
Somewhere along the line that changed and now to my eyes it seems EA is relying on their massive marketing and advertising budget, hype machine and exclusive licenses while the thing thing that MADE them all that money - THE GAMEPLAY - has taken a back seat.Comment

I appreciate you posting here, and I agree with taz to maybe just overlook the more emotional/confrontational posts. I think what you see with some of us is although the team may be listening we feel like we're beating our heads against the wall.

Re: Madden NFL 13 Title Update #2 Arrives Tomorrow, Player Editing Still Being Explor
I have said over and over again I am not good with the sticks, and said "unless you are unbelievably good with the sticks" in my post. I don't have time to practice on the sticks the extent needed to be as good as you are, and it wouldn't improve my enjoyment of the game any.
I do disagree that dropped passes are the only thing thats wrong with All-Madden, as defensive tackles being run over by scat backs and linebackers being in the backfield on 80% of plays also happens in it. Its immaterial.

You really don't have to be unbelievably good. All-Madden is not that hard man. Haha! How long have you been playing Madden? It amazes me when I see comments like that because average guys with basic football knowledge can have success on All-Madden without doing cheesy stuff. You also can't go off playing against USERs online to determine how they would play against the CPU. Some guys just do whatever they can to win online..
I have no trouble gashing the CPU with the run using almost every running play in the book. If you are the type of player who gets the handoff and run straight into the line with no vision then you will struggle. Practice helps you get your timing down with all the routes along with helping you read the defense better so you can make the proper read and execute the plays you call. If you are the type of player who likes to stare down your first read all the time and expect him to be open on your pass plays then you will struggle and get sacked alot on All-Madden. But like you said this is your experience.. Sliders fix alot of the issues you are having but in order to compete on All-Madden you have to commit to wanting to get better if you are not use to playing on that level. Some guys aren't willing to put in the work..Last edited by Jarodd21; 09-10-2012, 10:33 PM.Comment

Re: Madden PATCH UPDATE #2 AVAILABLE TOMMOROW FOR XBOX AND PS3!!
psst.
emmdot is not a developer. I think he's a bit out of his depth here.
Last year's franchise mode isn't in the game because they didn't want it to be. They want everyone to migrate to CCM. Eventually Franchise was going to have to be cut out, so I guess they'd rather do it now instead of later.
When I say a True Coach mode, I see sub modes of CC Coach mode. One where you call the plays, make substitutions, etc and the game plays out and the other where you control the players.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 13 Title Update #2 Arrives Tomorrow, Player Editing Still Being Explor
I would be willing, if not for having a salary job and an 8 month old son.
I have been playing Madden since 1992. So, 20 years. Until this generation of video games I could play on all-madden.
I am very good at the offensive side of the ball at least comparatively to others that I've played in person, very very poor at defense. But even with being good at the offensive side of the ball only certain plays work. Plays where I can get the ball out of the pocket within 1.5 seconds. The average pocket time should be 3-4 seconds. I use progressions and look at other receivers and since we are pretty much in "godmode" I can at times see multiple receivers routes.
It doesn't matter what play I run, on All-Madden I have defensive lineman in the backfield on 80% of my run plays and on pass plays I rarely get sacked, but I also rarely complete any passes. Only time I play on all-madden now is MUT which I am literally trying to find cheats to win because I am getting destroyed. I can choose to score points and get blown out 56-28 or slow the game down and lose 21-3.
Not to mention that issue where people like Jamaal Charles can knock over defensive lineman like they are cornerbacks and cornerbacks don't even slow the runner down. Or the fact that the computer never misses a throw unless you get to it, and if you don't get to it its a touchdown.Last edited by steamboat; 09-10-2012, 10:29 PM.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 13 Title Update #2 Arrives Tomorrow, Player Editing Still Being Explor
If that's the only way you can survive on All-Madden my advice to you is to start practicing because there are plenty of gamers who don't have to resort to "money plays" in order to compete with the CPU on that level. They are just good players.. To some of us All-Pro is unrealistic because the CPU is super easy.. To each his own though.. Regardless All-Madden is weak in CCM..
And to the poster that thinks you have to be fantastic on the sticks or looking for exploits to compete on All-Madden it's simply not true. Call a good game. Mix it up. Learn to read coverages and get the ball out on time. Believe me, I'm not super on the sticks at all. But, I have a pretty good understanding of football and that's enough.Comment
