Re: What team are you taking to the Super Bowl and how in madden 25?

So many routes to go to this year unlike last year... The obvious thing is to take over my Redskins & continue the RG3 era. Finding him a true #1 receiver & improving upon the defense. I wanna win multiple rings with this team, but I'm still a bit selfish. At some point I wanna create myself as an undrafted QB & out myself either on the Rams or Raiders (more likely Raiders). Then move em out to LA & create a dynasty out in southern Cali. The possibilities are endless.

Cowboys, I mean hey Seattle can't baby oil a kicking ball in Madden can they?
Seriously, Cowboys are very good out of the box - so solo CFM get Romo a SB (secretly hope life imitates my game) - trade down in draft every chance I get - be ready to package picks when a good QB with 95 or higher THP and 84 plus speed - want to see if I can master an option first offense...

Then maybe mess around with relocating a couple teams.

Online in my fast paced league, Cowboys and all I gotta do is hope my good friend takes an AFC team, cuz he just has my number and always seems to win the important games against me...

Speaking of we are considering opening a couple of spots in our league, where would I make that known on OS?

The Naptown Colts would be a good team to build around Luck.

I'll pick the Patriots like I always do. Then I'll try to go undefeated and break all sorts of records. Haven't been to successful with this lately.

As for single team franchises, I'll probably rebuild the Jaguars, take over the Vikings and take over the Titans, move them back to Houston and rename them the Oilers.
I quoted my post because I wanted to get your opinion on how I decided to run the 32 team league. Copied down the entire regular season schedule, and for each game of every week I flipped a coin to pre-determine who wins and who loses. For example, in Week 1, Ravens play in Denver meaning if it lands on Heads, the home team wins and that means the Broncos. If it is Tails, then the Ravens win. I flipped the coin and the Broncos won.

As I progressed through the weeks, I took notice of the records it was producing and for teams that wound up with bad records, I am in the process of making up storylines in order to explain why their season was so bad. For example, after flipping the coin for all 17 weeks, the Rams and Raiders finished 1-15. Now pending on how Madden puts the draft order this is what I have pre-determined for why the Rams were so bad.

Rams: In week one against Arizona, Sam Bradford gets injured and is out for the season. This causes the tail spin of the Rams having a very bad season and a new beginning for the Rams. With Bradford injured, the Rams move on and start a new with Teddy Bridgewater as the # 1 Overall Pick.

Raiders: The quarterback play by Flynn, Tyler Wilson and Pryor was so bad that they just couldn't compete against any team. Again I don't know how Madden would award the tiebreaker for the first pick but if Oakland ends up with the first pick, Bridgewater lands in Oakland.

Now of course, pending training camp and stuff, I will take into consideration real life situations and change things based upon that.

              With the Falcons as always.

I'll probably trade for Tyler Eiffert (trading them Desmond Trufant, Troilolo and a second to keep it even) as I wanted us to draft him to develop under Tony Gonzo. Then use a dual TE system with a mix of Julio Jones, Roddy White, Tony Gonzo, and Tyler Eiffert with Steven Jackson out of the backfield.

Then the following offsean shore up my d-line building it around Mallaciah Goodman and Stansley Mopanga. While either developing Jaquizz or drafting a replacement for Steven Jackson.

I'll take over the Chiefs. I'm usually more of a team builder approach, so I figure I would
                1. Turn the Chiefs into a perennial playoff team with Smith
I plan on winning the super bowl at least once before Jamaal Charles retires
                2. Transition them to a 4-3 defense
It's what Reid ran in Philly, and won't happen the first year, but over time, in 2-4 years I'd be in a 4-3, and I'd bring in a younger Head Coach
                3. Draft a QB in the first round, have him sit behind Smith for a year
Chiefs never draft a 1st round QB, so it's much needed

I also want to move a team to Dublin....Not sure which one yet.

Did I understand correctly that you DO NOT get to customize uniforms and what not when you relocate?

No you understood correctly it just came to mind when you said Dublin (even though in Family Guy it was the London Silly Nannies).

Moving the Jets and doing that would be pretty epic though.

                        The Green Bay Packers

I will ride Aaron Rodgers to the Super Bowl yet again and continue to build a dynasty while improving my defense. Then, when Rodgers gets to his mid-30's, I'll draft a QB to serve as his understudy, a la Rodgers and Favre.

It all starts up front in the NFL and the Cowboys are woeful in the trenches. Drafting Travis Frederick might have been a reach, but we must work with what we have so I recommend purchasing the Center progression package as soon as you possibly can. His development is crucial to the interior running game and being a rookie, it’s the perfect time to invest in his future.
Frederick was a HUGE reach in my opinion. Here is where the Cowboys should have drafted their safety instead of trading with the 49ers. Nevertheless, I agree in regards to building up Frederick. I'm not going to go into detail about the rest of the OL but I agree in regards to building Frederick up.

With the young, speedy TE James Hannah progressing well at the end of last season, you should have a serviceable, young 2nd option behind the aging, but very capable Jason Witten. Use this draft day mistake to leverage more help on the offensive line. Look for a solid young interior lineman to replace Bernardeau or Arkin. You could potentially evaluate a young Right Tackle to replace Doug Free, but with his contract restructured, he is much more of a viable option out there for the first couple of seasons during your CFM.
I disagree with this. Escobar will be another offensive weapon for Romo. With Murray becoming injury prone and Austin being average, Romo needs a third weapon after Bryant and Witten...enter Escobar. Also disagree with looking for a young RT. Cowboys already have one. His name is Jeremy Parnell. Personally, I would have Smith at LT, Leary at LG, Frederick at C, move Free inside to RG (think 49ers Alex Boone who moved from OT to RG last season) and Parnell at RT. That's far better. Also, Escobar should be under a cheap four year rookie contract. Free took a massive pay cut and if he could get back to what he was a few years ago, he would be an upgrade inside. Livings and Bernadeau should be trade bait to eliminate their salaries and acquire some cap room for the future. Free signed a new contract...$7m total over two years...$3.50m in 2013 and 2014 with no signing bonus and thus no guaranteed money so if he fails, he should be traded or released quite easily. While the two guards have signing bonuses, neither are worth what they're getting paid.

You will need to scour the FA wire to help there until the next draft day. I would utilize an early pick in the 2014 draft, perhaps a 2nd rounder, to bolster that position for years to come. With a solid front seven, opponents will most likely target your secondary as the weakest part of your defense and attempt to exploit that in the passing game unless you make some moves here.
This should be second on the list with Frederick third. Cowboys should have tried to sign Barber to play FS for a year since he played in Kiffin's cover 2 scheme in TB for years. Also adds veteran leadership which the team sorely needs. A good free agent for SS would be Kerry Rhodes as a stopgap. Granted, he's not great but better than who's currently on the Cowboys roster at safety. Draft wise...definitely.

Ware, Spencer, Carter and Lee will be a force to reckon with and present all sorts of problems for an offense because of the speed they possess. With Ratliff, Hatcher and Crawford (or Wilbur potentially) you have a serviceable defensive line for a season, but you will need to address strength up front at some point if you want to get the most out of your LB core.
50/50 in regards to moving back to the 3-4. Ratliff is an injury prone old veteran who'll eventually be gone. 4-3 should make him better than what he's been since signing his contract a few years ago. As for the best LB core in Madden, sorry but if they are, they need to be adjusted. I'll give Ware 99 and Spencer 95 just for the hell of it but the 49ers have the best LB core in the NFL. Aldon should be at least 95, Brooks 90 and Willis and Bowman at 99 and 95 respectively. Lee and Carter are both good but neither are in that 90 range yet and have to prove that they're back from their respective injuries.

Re: What team are you taking to the Super Bowl and how in madden 25?

I think it's again a weird mix between "What I would do in Madden" and "What I would do in real life", yes, in real life, the Cowboys probably aren't going anywhere with JJ at the helm he seems to have lost a step on modern football, but in Madden, it's completely irrelevant whether Jerry Jones or anyone else is the owner to make a team successful, so why on earth would you consider this the most important point?

Same goes for #2, unless they completely overhaul how blocking works, the interior offensive line simply isn't that important. Yes, running it up the middle is easier with stud G/C but you can easily get by and have a 2000 yard rushing season behind the Cowboys line as it is even on the most difficult slider sets.

It gets worse at #3, why you would ever trade a young skill position player with probably good development for an interior linemen in Madden is beyond me. Another case of heavily mixing up Madden and the real NFL in an area where they are simply different.

Now #4 and 5, those I agree with, having good, fast safeties is a great help in the passing game in Madden, if anything, the safety position is even more important in Madden than in real life, and the Cowboys have the personnel to play the 3-4 so they should do so, at least in my experience, the 3-4 usually allows you to bring more speed on the outside and strength on the inside on the field, which is exactly what you want in Madden.
You gotta have Hope! (My Minnesota Vikings franchise)
