Think offline franchise mode might actually be really enjoyable in this game. If I'm able to lose to the CPU while playing as the 49ers w/out it being incredibly cheezy I can only imagine how competitive games will be w/ lesser quality teams

Re: Madden NFL 25 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions (360, PS3)
Alright where to start...
Something is wrong with Madden 25 or maybe Madden 25 isn't for me.
There is just something unnatural about this game for me. I feel like the controls are a little clunky and
stiff. Now I was playing on All Pro and I was getting the hang of it early on but passing the ball, it just feels
odd to me. My timing is off and I'm throwing picks left and right and as I practiced I got better but still the controls
just bug me.
Running however is more fun and I do like the precision modifier but it's still an odd system having to hold the Left trigger to make move and still hold the right trigger for speed as well. I had the most fun running with Frank Gore, he was a beast... Eddie Lacy didn't seem to have anything special to him (then again he's a rookie).
Also and this is an odd criticism. You want to talk about robotic commentary... Danielle Bellini doesn't sound natural at all. It might be her voice recording or how it's presented but she comes off sounded robotic and systematic and honestly somewhat nasally lol.
Forgot to mention defensive line, I couldn't get any pressure or push off from the offensive line, it still right stick maneuvers right? I was struggling mightily with defensive line.
My main beef is with the controls, they've lost the fluid cool touch I enjoyed in Madden 13. And don't get me started on Pre snap menus... Good grief that's a mess all in its own.
I'll give the demo a few more test runs but I'm sticking with Madden 13 as of right now.Last edited by Indyboy180; 08-22-2013, 04:21 AM.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 25 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions (360, PS3)
Alright second go around
The controls felt a little more on point now that I've got a few go arounds with them, I mean they still feel a little stiff compared to 13 but it is what it is.
I am having a problem with dropped passes. A lot of them on both sides (user and CPU). I would throw a bomb to Sidney Rice and he freaking had it and he just bobbled it out. It was a damn shame.
The Read Option was highly effective. Russell Wilson had an incredible burst of speed that sent him off to the races in one play flat. The option is fun and so is running but passing is a mixed bag. I'd probably spend most games running honestly and setting up the pass if need be.
Guess I'll toy around again tomorrow afternoon.
Defense.. oh man I need to work on defense.
I was so out of place on defense, Rodgers was torching me and then those damn screen passes on 3rd and long always convert. I'll get the hang of it sooner or later.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 25 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions (360, PS3)
Im playing on All-Madden and its about even wins/losses.
playing vs Packers(cpu).
A-Rod is very good(98 ovr)
I had a good couple players trying to pass block me when I was using NT. I had to use 3-3-5 to test it b/c the Seahawks 4-3.
I tried playing offense only so I could get more offensive plays in.
I had to switch the controller over each possession change.
It helped me to see how good the Packers Offense is!
Ed Lacy is good at getting yds after 1st hit, similar to Lynch.
It ended up going into O.T.!!
Pretty good practice for different offenses too.
Final was finally decided by 3 pts in O.T.
After a fumble and recovery in fg range for the Hawks.
Final 20-17Comment

I've only played a few games, but came out more excited about the game than I was just by watching videos on it. I think it plays a lot more smooth than any other madden game. The passes feel like they come out quicker, and not sluggish like before. I dunno, I'm not going to nitpick on every little thing, my honest impression is that each time I played was an enjoyable football video gaming experience, I love NCAA 14, and Madden plays just as well...Comment

I have not seen the CPU excessive spinning with run block at 25 and below.
Have you been seeing a lot of this type of nonsense on default settings?Last edited by Sturzinator; 08-22-2013, 12:28 PM.Comment

Again.
I take it it's another love affair with broken tackles on default? Might have to get the demo sometime and test."Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

Re: Madden NFL 25 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions (360, PS3)
It's not like it's been in recent years, for me at least. I've been very pleased with the tackling for the most part. I was extremely worried with them talking about Hit Stick 2.0 and what not but overall the tackling seems a lot better. The only thing is that the broken tackles seem to happen in bunches rather than being a consistent issue like in previous years. I had some crazy moments early on but after bumping up the slider, I've gotten a lot of solid tackling and most shockingly, not a ton of huge explosion tackles like I was expecting.Last edited by DeuceDouglas; 08-22-2013, 02:52 PM.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 25 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions (360, PS3)
I can not for the life of me pass the ball or defend the pass. On offense, it's like anything more than a 3 or 4 yard completion is intercepted. On defense, everyone goes uncovered no matter what I do except the guy I'm manually covering. It's like if I don't get a sack as the ball is snapped, there's a guy running open somewhere on the field, I don't understand.Comment

Request for patch 1
First off, I think this can be a really great madden once it's fine tuned.
I have it set on all madden
Request #1: I would love to increase the sliders to have the cpu cover my wide outs as tight as I want without having to increase interceptions slider to 100. I want more batted balls. 100 should be almost impossible for my receivers to break free.
Request #2: I want to make running the ball as difficult as I want without having to increase cpu tackling to 100. Setting tackling to 100 makes it some what difficult but now there aren't any broken tackles.
Request #3: random mistakes for o-line. I'm hoping next gen has this but I would like to see offensive lineman that have low ratings miss blocks more often.
If these can be addressed, this would be the only game I would play.Comment
