Re: Madden NFL 25 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions (360, PS3)
i must admit im impressed. as someone who has NOT been impressed with the infinity engine in any release thus far(didn't even like it in NCAA14). its well done in M25. no ragdolls, realistic after play stumbles and interactions. I even saw some limbs ge tangled after a play but it was realistic. smooth gameplay and varied animations. this has me even looking forward to next gen Madden. I think I will be doing some slider tweaks and I hope the zoom cam is back to the M12 position. but I must say EA seems to be doing a good job.Comment

You only scored 15 points on All-Pro? I dropped 42 points of on All-Pro my very first game and 49 in my second game, had to bump it up to All Madden. How did you manage to score so little points?Comment

Sliders could actually make this an acceptable offline experience this year.
Also worth noting that they fixed LT/RT pass block engages which corrects the sack/pressure issue off the edge that plagued the last few Maddens. Hopefully the retail copy ships with this same pass blocking.
The biggest difference in this game to me is the lack of instant acceleration and need to use different speeds while moving. It's a bit too choppy at times, but also helps to get rid of the RT abuse where high speed players can just zip around like Sonic the Hedgehog at will.I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Re: Madden NFL 25 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions (360, PS3)
Animations are pretty bad in this game, maybe because im playing on All-Madden and the cpu is over powering me, but I hate it when I am running full speed squared up to the defender right in front of me with my head down ready to truck stick him and all of the sudden the defender does a hit stick and knocks my back in the opposite direction off his feet and on his back, that shouldn't happen. The hit stick should only work when the ball carrier is not squared up to the defender. Weight, momentum, and leverage don't matter in this game animations are chosen like a game of rock-paper-scissors.
And the tackling is very herky jerky, seems like they don't wrap up or follow through the tackle when IE kicks in on defense and far too many times the backs fall down to their knees like they've been hit by knock out punch during an IE tackle. I really didn't mind all the after play goofyness pre-patch IE 1, at least we have way better/more gang tackling during play, maybe this will be tuned in the release version.Last edited by ghettogeeksta; 08-13-2013, 06:02 PM.Comment

I really despise the camera angle. It's so disorienting to be so far away from the action. Definitely not the angle I will use in the retail copy. The Last of Us is the Citizen Kane of video-games. It is better than every game that has ever come before it, and is the new benchmark for all games to follow. It is nothing short of a work of art.Comment

It hasn't taken me long (5-6 games) to get better CPU/CPU gameplay out of this demo than anything possible in M13 even with edited rosters. That's a good sign for me.
It's still not what I'd expect out of a football game in the year 2013, but it's not nearly as bad as some of the past Madden games on this generation.Comment

The drills are confusing the hell out of me. What qualifies a pass/fail? And Kaepernick won't even snap the ball in the ballhawk drill.
Anyway the gameplay is pretty good. More than I expected, at least.Comment
