I bought Madden 06 for Xbox 360. Like you guys are feeling now, I was disgusted with the game. Stopped playing, swore not to buy another Madden for as long as I had the console. Luckily for me, the console red ringed like 3 months in and I never got it replaced.

Been without a console all last gen, and no Madden this entire time.

      I'm pumped to play.

You guys got to remember this is NEW hardware to developers. I think we need to see more of this game but the people at EA are taking their time. If they can deliver on living stadiums and sidelines, deeper commentary, fix the trenches, better A.I, and true step works then I'd be happy.

Sorry but this is new hardware, not new technology. Not the same thing at all. Madden's problems have nothing to do with the hardware, at all. Please stop using that excuse for EA.

Im not making a excuse for EA cause I was the one of the people who bought madden 06 and got ripped off while EA set back and laughed. This is new to them being this is their first release on a new console.

these consoles are MUCH easier to develop for than the last time they had to do it.

I'll say this will be a good experience for a gamer like hoopvillian...who hasn't played Madden in a while. Madden 25 Next gen will have all the features from the current gen (at least they have said) and it will most likely run alot smoother (although hard to tell from not 60fps encoded videos)

again, some of us who have been buying it yearly...well with new, easy to develop for, powerful, SIMILAR, consoles...we are expecting more.

there will always be some who complain that say "IT LOOKS THE SAME!!!" I mean yeah its a football game...but its the little things that EA Tiburon needs to concentrate on, (like what MLB THE SHOW does).. to make it more realistic....that show improvement, not just checking boxes and stating #s of new stuff.

Little things like Animations, branching of animations....player personalities, that differentiate from other players.

you can have smooth animations and still have fun control. Look at Madden 01-04.

right now it just seems like these animations are missing something.

I am still having hope... I still expect the final game to look more like some of that other footage we have seen..graphics and animation.

see I think these animations branch well together... look at his footwork, and the interactions of the players around him.

This is from Backbreaker though. The entire engine was based natural, realistic movement. It wasn't animation-based.

no their tackling/interactive engine was based on no animations...but they use animation like anyother game. It's just that their animations blend well together.

I think this part of their tech is called Morpheme...and alot of games use it.

I like Madden too and think they catch alot of flak. But that statement is not true. Backbreaker used the Euphoria engine which does not have any pre-defined animations. Here is a link to the wiki that breaks down the engine and how it works http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euphoria_(software)

It would be awesome if we had something like this in Madden:

What he's saying is that there are base animations in the game that don't change unless interrupted, like running, diving, spinning, juking, throwing the ball, etc. Those are animated. Anything past there is straight physics and human like interaction.
